Dope Wars

Hey, anyone remember this awesome game?
I think it's freeware, so it's fine to add it.

You played the role of a drug lord, and had to manage your stores and all the things that come with the life of a drug dealer. Fun as hell.

Also: I'd like to upload Soldat, is that okay?

A. J. Raffles 03-08-2005 01:31 PM

Soldat is already on AR, though, isn't it?

Blood-Pigggy 03-08-2005 01:32 PM

Not that I know of...
Oh yeah, heh, nevermind.

My goodness...
This site doesn't have Neuromancer, we're missing something here!

I remember uploading the game to the server, as well as seeing it on the "games that need review" list with someone's name under it. Ask Kosta or Tom, maybe one of them will shed some light on the case

Wasn't it made by EA or Interplay, though? That would make it ESA-protected, I suppose...

Blood-Pigggy 03-08-2005 03:51 PM

It's on about almost every other single abandonware site...

So...

A. J. Raffles 03-08-2005 03:54 PM

That doesn't prove anything.

Blood-Pigggy 03-08-2005 03:57 PM

Yeah it does :D .
If Underdogs has it, XTC has it.....
There are sites with integrity out there that have had it for ages, it's simple deduction.

A. J. Raffles 03-08-2005 04:05 PM

I'm afraid that's got nothing to do with deduction, Sherlock. If a game might be ESA-protected we can't put it up for download, just because some other site has it.

Blood-Pigggy 03-08-2005 04:08 PM

Yeegh, yarzors pointdexter.

No, I know Neuromancer is abandonware since Interplay is dead, MUCH more Interplay Productions, so are all it's branches.

Neuromancer has been floating along limbo for awhile now, the rights for the book aren't held by any publishing company and people are still trying to pick things off of Interplay's corpse.

I'm assuming that since other sites that the ESA normally visit have Neuromancer, we can assume that it's safe to say it's abandoned.
If not, we'll be proved wrong if it's requested to be removed.

But now on wholesale it's abandonware.

P.S. what you say makes no sense.
If a site with integrity has it, it means they'd take it down if it wasn't abandonware.
