Here in US, over the weekend you can find garage sales, where people sell some of stuff for couple of bucks. In the last couple of weeks I was able to get some interesting stuff, such as MS Sidewinder Force-Feedback Pro joystick for 2 bucks, PII 350MHz computer for 3 bucks, 17" monitor (for my parents) for 6 bucks, speakers (also for my parents) - 1 buck.

But best thing I bought is Sega CD Shinning Force, in the great condition, 1 buck.

What methods of finding old stuff you guys have? :)

Kolaporti?. It's like.. A HUGE garage sale. A big indoor market.

Cheap, old stuff? Grave robbing. You would not believe the deals you can get. They're practically giving that stuff away! I haven't bought undergarments from a department store for 4 years now, the bargains are just that good!

I don't see many garage sales anymore, its a shame really, they are always worth checking out.

That's great!!
I paid around 23 bucks for a Compaq Deskpro 6300 MX PII @ 300, with 4 Mb onboard video.I didn't get anything else other than the onboard video, mainboard + proc, and power supply...

This guy wanted to sell his stuff, that's why price was so low. Usually computers here are around 10-20 bucks.

I did not get IBM XT (i think it was that one) for same price (3 bucks). I have first to organize stuff I already have, then I will get some other stuff.

I am actually looking for older Amiga, C64, Speccy etc computers... or for some old consoles (NES, SMS etc.)

Today you can download all Spec games, and it's not hard to get them from PC back to tape ;)

Auctions and flea markets are generally good places to go to find interesting stuff. Last month, I managed to buy a bunch of NES games for $20 at an auction. Granted, I really only go to auctions to buy the boxed lots for my booth at the flea market, but from time to time I get some good deals for myself.

Why are they selling them so cheap?
