we need more point and click adventures such as the likes of simon the sorcerer and monkey island!

If you want to turn back the wheel of time, why not give it an extra push: we need more "type it in" adventures such as Space Quest.

:ok:

I'd prefer the good old point 'n click adventures, too. The last adventure-game I really could enjoy was Monkey Island 3 - after that, nothing good followed. I have to add that I haven't played Runaway yet, maybe I'll give it a try the next days.

But as already said, we need adventures like StS, Monkey Island, Full Throttle ... you know, all these outstanding games! :ok:

It would never work, the games would not be the same as they were because they would have to make the puzzles easier as all the kids today are getting dumber, then where would the challenge be?

It would be pointless.

It also wouldn't work because of the graphics. Point 'n click just doesn't go together with 3d graphics, and I doubt anyone but a hopelessly nostalgic player would be willing to put up with the type of graphics which were considered great during the early nineties. (But I voted 'yes' anyway, because I am nostalgic in that respect. :D )

I love point n click adventure games...
Five days a stranger was actually cool. The Ark of time is interesting.
I played Broken Sword 2 on the playstation, but a certain behind sat on the disc.... damn

There was simillar topic here, and FYI there is another nice point and click adventure comming: A Vampyre Story.

Decent ones are still being put out (mostly by Adventure Game Company). Right now I'm incredibly excited about StillLife's release.

As far as old school releases that should get a new installment, I highly believe that the Laura Bow series should at lest be a trilogy since the other two are simply fantastic.

Loom 2.

I voted yes.

I'd cut off my own foot, if some one would make Loom 2 if I did.

I wouldn't mind to see them bring that sort of style back, lots of fun game memories from that, I heard it has been mentioned that the Nintendo DS could be a good system to do that sort of style on, the way it's designed, but it'd have to come back to PC as well.
