When I try to run heroes of might and magic in dosbox, it says that it is unanble to access cd drive. And when i try to run it in windows XP nothing happens... Anyone who knows what to do??? :help:

In this thread somewhere and I'm also pretty sure there's a file in the archive that tells you what to do as well! :D
|
I donīt know ANYTHING about this, and I donīt understand what to do, so please help me. What does this mean???
When you have written: Mount e -t cdrom e:\ (It is e:\ for me) Then you use the normal procedure... Mount c c:\ cd heroes heroes.exe |
what does it mean to mount??
|
When you start dosbox you normally use "mount c c:\" to get to your c drive, yes?
ok. we need the same procedure to make the cdrom accessible so use: mount e -t cdrom e:\ then continue as normal. this means that dosbox is able to find your cdrom drive and as long as it contains a cd - it doesn't matter what - the game should then run! edit: put simply, mounting is the process where dosbox assigns letters to your drives. |
How do you write - and : in dosbox?? Canīt seem to find the keys
|
well i press the keys with - and : on. I have a standard UK english keyboard layout. Others maybe different. DosBox is actually set up to work with a US layout but I've never had any trouble with those keys!

I am from Denmark, so i guess mine is different. When i press - then comes / and when i press : comes .

I wrote: mount d -t cdrom d:\
Then it wrote: Drive d is mounted as cdrom But it stil says that cdrom is unable to access Do you know if there is anything i have done wrong?? |
