Me and my friends spent weeks doing this game but somebody has completed the game (killed bowser) in 20 minutes!

There is a video of this on this page. The video is done all in one take (so he did do it) and he makes use of every shortcut and exploit in the game.

Also on that site is Half-Life in 45 minutes and loads of other games.

Twenty minutes? Took me 20 days, I gotta check this out.

EDIT: Oh it's 16 stars thank god, i would have had a heart attack from the speed otherwise

I still haven't beat the game.

haha. the halflife in one hour is pretty funny. some crazy, crazy moves. BUT that movie is made from sections put together. he had to redo a lot of those difficult moves many times.
i didnt know there was a 45 minute one now?
its still cool though. the trick to bypass 'power up' level made me laugh out loud

PS

the most impressive game demos i ever saw were in MAME using .inp files

ghouls and ghosts arcade version beaten on one credit - no glitches or tricks.. just pure gaming skill!

Oh I see, it's for the first bowser eh, well makes sense, still got to check out some of those videos, sounds interesting.

Another World could be beaten in about 15-16 minutes. My own record reached 15 - almost - but never got there.

no way could you beat mario64 in 20 minutes! i haven't beat the game yet!
that is a filthy stinking lie! :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

The Fifth Horseman 21-03-2005 10:38 AM

He's probably played it constantly for about 3 or four months. This amount of training gives him a good chance at doing so.

Lizard 21-03-2005 10:43 AM

It isnt so big problem.I personally beat half-life within 2 hours. It is really just question of training....
Dunno about Mario, I never played it,but 20 minutes? Cool.... :kosta:

I think the record for all 120 stars is like 3 hours. I'd have to check the speed demos archive again.
