At least, thats what I beleave. After canning Full Throttle's and Sam and Max's sequals, I dont think they have much of a future with my dollar. Their game are still good though, and I dont think that theve completly sold out on original ideas (Armed and Dangerous was a fun game, really!) I just think that they may never bring back the classics we loved!

Note: I completly understand that they made a new Monkey Island a few years back, but still.

I blame the new management heading up operations, and the focus they just seem to love to have with their medicore Star Wars games now, (Although KOTOR doesn't count since that was made by Bioware)

I'm not counting on them to make a new monkey island game anytime soon either, perhaps one of the other companies like Bad Brain or TeleTale Games could get their hands on it somehow, there might just be hope....

I quite liked the newer one. I think it is superior to the third.

I thought the 4th one was a nice game, liked the voices and the jokes, never played the 3rd one though, it's on my list of games to play, looks like a good game to play.

Just recently picked up full throttle like a couple of weeks back with Outlaws and Shogun Total War, for about $10 bucks Canadian, man that was lucky.

i agree with the point that it'll be hard for LA to keep up with their past quality and
originality...but let's wait. why not giving them a chance that we're wrong?

after all, today's technical possibilities leave quite a lot room for improvement,
as long as they don't trade pure fun for the sake of cool effects, if you know what
i mean.

however, i have to disagree with the ppl disregarding the value of monkey island 4.
in my eyes each part of this series is somewhat unique, so it it a hard match to judge
them against each other within this context.

but of course, that's only my personal opinion...

I thought MI3 was the best, MI2 was my least favorite.
I agree that LucasArts does stink nowadays.

Danny252 28-02-2005 06:45 PM

they had a soul? wow..

MI2 is my personal favourite of the series, I liked the way you could go between the islands and spend money.
