Greetings, forum patrons.

We all love classic DOS games. ADMIT IT! Otherwise, we wouldn't be here. We also love the music of classic DOS games. Remember the great sounds of the Ad Lib sound board? Yes, but how do we recapture the music of these great times without having to go through the games to hear that music? That's where I come in.

The adlib music archive is the world's first, most complete and ONLY place to find custom-ripped and prepared music taken straight from the DOS games we love so much! I've personally collected over 200 tunes for your enjoyment, so what are you waiting for? Dive in and enjoy yourself!

But... your current sound card doesn't support Ad Lib? That's ok! There's a great music player called AdPlug available for Windows and Linux which can effectively emulate the Ad Lib's OPL2 sound chip, so you don't miss out on the experience. The DOS-based version of AdPlug, called AdPlay, supports true Ad Lib boards best, so if you can swing that, DO IT!

It's ok, I know you've been waiting for this. :Tom:

Er...

Nice thread, but somehow I don't like the slightly arrogant tone of his post as if he's assuming everyone would storm in on this site at once...

It's called promoting a site. And he convinced me. :ok:

EDIT Hmmmm you need the music from Operation Stealth.

Well, actually no, I don't like the adlib sound. Whenever a classic game had a great soundtrack I try to find the amiga version of the music. Dunno how they made it, as technically the Amiga chip was less advanced, but somehow the tunes still sound better, more "energetic". But still, I compliment you on the effort with the site. ;)

sounds a bit like a salesmen on a car ad, trying to get you to come down and test drive some used cars.

Uhmm.... I don't care much about the game music. I do, however, care about game speech. A few of the abandonware games I downloaded either from here or from HOTU are often ripped of their speech. So, by any chance do you also provide game speech?

Glad to see you're still alive, dear Adder. :)

EDIT: Comment taken back

What's so great about a couple of deep links to HOTU??? You don't even host the music itself, you just steal bandwidth from another site... :not_ok:
Have another look at those links, will you? You will see that they don't lead to the main site of HOTU, but to http://dfg.the-underdogs.org/

Death Adder is a long-time affiliate and contributor to HOTU, and Underdogs has been hosting his sites for ages.
