Old school gamer!

How awesome is this place.Played so many RPGs back in the 80s and early 90s on my Tandy 1000.How cool.

I'm actually playing Dungeon Hack right now.D-Fend Reloaded makes setting up these games so easy.Heck I'm doing this on Ubuntu using Wine.

How strange, dosbox runs perfectly directly in Ubuntu, so why using a Win applic in Ubuntu to run dosbox within it ????????????
Strange ....................................... :picard:

Of course you always could use virtualbox+Ubuntu as guestOS+Wine+dosbox .... etcetera...... XD

D-Fend Reloaded does not run natively in Ubuntu.I actually am getting better functionality this way than I was using dosbox straight up.Plus D-Fend makes setting up games super easy.

I do use virtual box to play certain newer games especially those that do not function well in Wine.

knows his way around on Tandy would need a frontend now.....

Personally I prefer batch files for the games that needs some 'special' settings or CD mount.

... and a frontend can be a real bitch when you try to run a needpicking game ....

I actually still have my Tandy1000EX.

I was having several issues running Dosbox natively in Ubuntu. Most of those issues for whatever reason disappeared when I ran the Windows version of Dosbox thru Wine(Playonlinux actually). And at that point I figured why not make life easier and just use a gui front-end,D-Fend is awesome imo.
