I guess this should go under this section. Anyway, I'm wondering what a good program is that can be used to create and edit GIF Animations. I have some I made from before my computer crashed, but I lost the program I used before to make and edit them (I can't remember what it was.) Can anyone give me some help? Something preferably free would be wonderful :ok:

i use animation shop 3 that came with paintshop pro 7. i think that whatever version of paintshop pro you get, its 30 day trial. im saying no more about that....

Thats not true, I combine photoshop with imageready to make animated gifs, works like a charm.

I assume that the gimp can make them as well.

i just found imageready so much harder to understand, whereas animation shop was very intuitive.

Gotta agree with Stroggy: imageReady gets my vote.

Maybe... I tried both and I personally felt I had greater control over everything in imageready. Plus its not all that difficult to understand.
I know I've been using it for little over four months now and I've created whole movies with it.
