Try running it in Windows 95 compatibility mode. If that doesn't help, run this in DOSBox and the game through it: http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/sho...48&postcount=2

Man o man o manometer!!!! You're in windows dos command prompt there! That's not a dosbox window !!!!!! You didn't put those ol'W3 files in there, I may hope!!!! Can't you read? Quote:

Someone didn't read the instructions, I see. You were supposed to run windows.bat inside DOSBox. That isn't stated directly, but should have been clear seeing as the whole thing is supposed to be ran in DOSBox.
If you did what that screenshot looks like to me and unpacked this stuff to the root of your system drive, you've just borked your system up big time. |
Guess I didn't understand to run it in dosbox, but I dont see any damage that was done...
anyways, i think i did it right now, but this is what i get when i try to open the game in the windows file. any ideas? http://img713.imageshack.us/i/28820798.jpg/ |
To be really frank with you, dumping screenshots of your trouble doesn't give me more insight on what is happening...
Thought about goggling that famous error #21? |

Also no idea what 'err 21' means. But you shouldn't try to run games from a partition root in that ol'windows. Try this: create a folder on your C: (IN DOSBOX !!!!!) let say 'BA2220' or something (keep it simple and short), then copy all the files folders from your D: to that folder, and try to run the game from that folder on your C: And a bit more details about this: Quote:
[Edit] Have this game CD laying around somewhere, gonna take a look @this later today or tomorrow .... if I'm bored enough. |
