Crime doesn't pay....or does it?

Im looking for 'crime' related games, that have you managing or being part of some sort of organized crime unit (gang, family, doesn't matter) Im not looking for GTA or God Father or something though, I want games that require me to think rather then driving down the street and pwning my enemies.

But yea, management, e.g starting from a small crime group and growing, are there any games like this?

I really recommend you to try the demo before buying the game, because EG suffers from very slow gameplay. It is not uncommon having to wait 15-30 minutes in realtime until all your minions have reached their destinations on the world map before they are ready to strike. Otherwise it is the most funny and most detailed game I've seen in the past 10 years.

I completely forgot Evil Genius even existed! Silly Fubb, SILLY! I remember reading about it and saying 'Wow that sounds cool!'

you may flog me for misinformation later, but Yakuza is a pretty decent crime game, i don't know much more than that as i don't really dig crime games all that much, but from what i've heard it's pretty good

Me and Yakuza 3 have become very good friends. It is a very good game, but not really a crime game, more of just a beat em up in expensive clothing.

gotcha, i kinda assumed it was a crime game because it IS about the Japanese Mafia, and it's comparisons to GTA

Well it is a crime game, but it's not either. It's kinda hard to explain, you don't really commit any crimes in the whole game, in fact alot of the side missions are about helping people out, one is even solving an old criminal case. You get into lots of fights, but thats from other people trying to fight you, and you defending yourself. As I said hard to explain, but I don't think it's what Fubb is looking for.

Fubb, watch out for the conference table bug. If you move it before the "head of the underworld" quest is complete, then a bug strikes - making it impossible to finish Evil Genius.
