Pioneering/Frontier Games?

Anyone know of any games that place the player in the role of a frontiers men in the 1700's or 1800's? Im not talking Oregon Trail here, cause i have that, but im talking about games where the player is either in charge of looking after settlements, or in charge of their own life and al lthat.

I found This but im a little hesitant to even get the demo, cause it looks...odd.

And I already got Colonization (well, FreeCol. I spent like an hour today in it just building random frontier towns in now-a-days Texas, Lousiana, and New Mexico :p till the blasted french took over my Louisiana territories and i had to spend like 20 years fighting them!

Anyways, anyone know about any games like this?

I don't know any personal games, where you play the role of one man, but I do remember "Conquest of the New World", from Interplay 1996, NOT the one on abandonia here, just google "conquest of the new world deluxe". It is somewhat like colonization, but very different.
There is also "Christoph Kolumbus" for the amiga from 1994. It is mediocre.
