Looking for the names of 2 old PC games

The game I'm looking for, was a contra-style isometric 3D shooter. I remember the graphics being pretty good, you shot lasers or machine gun (and other weapons) as you plowed through mechanical enemies. There was both a single and a multiplayer (meaning 2 persons on same PC) option. It's not a contra game, so I don't have any idea, what name I am looking for. I remember a particular place in the beginning of the game, you came through a parking lot, shooting down other people and robots. Basically, it's an isometric futuristic shoot-em-up that looks like 3D contra. It was most likely made in the 2000s, because of the graphics, but I'm not entirely sure.

The second game had a much blander 3D graphics (a lot of sharp edges blocky units). It was a war simulator game, where before the scenario, you selected a bunch of units. When the game started, however, it was unique, because you could take any unit, and go into First Person mode, and control that unit to take down enemy units, until you died yourself. There were tanks and armoured cars and helicopters and planes.

Both games were on the platform Windows 95/98.

If anyone knows what games these are, either post here or send me an e-mail to [EDITED] Thank you very much.

The second game is Battlezone 2 for sure.

The first game i dunno but it sounds similar to a much newer game, Shadowgrounds (which is basically a top-down-view isometric shooter)

Thanks for the fast replies, guys. The second game is indeed Battlezone 2, thanks for that.
About the first one, Shadowgrounds looks like the closest thing to what I'm trying to describe, but the camera angle was a bit different, it was also zoomed out more, it was slower (both gameplay and camera movement) and it definitely was older than 2005 (the closest would be 1998-2002) but my memories of the timescale are really foggy, because I played it as a very young kid.

Are you 100% sure it was isometric and not top-down or "normal" TPP?

Expendable: Millennium Soldiers was the first game I was looking for. You guys helped me find both 2 games from my childhood, thanks ! :)
