Thief / System Shock multiplayer
 

I was talking to someone the other day, since there are rumours that Ion Storm (or someone) and Eidos are making Thief 4 and Deus Ex 3, about the old Looking Glass Thief games and System Shock.

I had heard that you could play System Shock multiplayer, if you had the right version, but I hadn't heard of Thief being played multiplayer.

I've downloaded the latest patch, to get Thief 2 running v1.18 Final, as well as the T2X v11 fan-made expansion pack. Apparently, if you can play missions that you make yourself you can play multiplayer.

Only I've got no idea how to even start doing that...
Or if Thief 2 multiplayer would be good.

It's a stealth game - I don't see how it could entertain more than 1 or 2 people at a time. Unless there was an arena level or something, but then that'd be the same as Unreal Tournament or something, then.

Has anyone else heard that you can play old Looking Glass games online / LAN multi?
