Max Payne 2

Finaly played this and finished it last week , compared to most of the older games that I finaly looked at this one played really well and still looked great

a lot of the games that I have been meaning to play turned out to be disapointing but I would definately still sugest that anybody who has not played it gets max payne II

I have not yet played max payne 1 but will definately be looking out for it and am very much looking forward to seeing more on max payne 3

Thanks, I saw that after I uninstalled it though so will probably play through some other games first before trying it.

Max Payne 1&2 are great games. I completed Max Payne 1 again a while ago - incredibly addictive, oddly enough.

It's been several years since I've played Max Payne 2 but I recall it being better looking and slightly better (Pink Flamingo anyone?) although I didn't like the new face of Max.

Both games are a bit too short for my liking though.

Also, the quotes from the games are hillarious.

Frank Niagara: Pleased to meet you. I'm Frankie "The Bat" Niagara.
Max Payne
: Niagara, as in you cry a lot?
Max [narrating]: He had a baseball bat, and I was tied to a chair. Pissing him off was the smart thing to do.

I played the first Max Payne. Awesome story, but boring gameplay. Gameplay was unnecessary tedium between great cutscenes in this game. :p

Story in Max Payne games has that exact portion of noir. Addictive indeed and simply great. Mainly in the first game.

I loved the rag-doll physics in the second game but the story kinda lost that feeling it had in the first installment. Nevertheless, it still was a wonderful game. :)

Yesterday I just had a flashback on Max Payne 1, and realized that it's way better than the second one. Scenes from the first one have been practically burnt into my mind, eg. Max standing on the skyscraper - camera flying, or the starting metro scene, Vlad, etc.

Gotta say, I loved the second one a lot more than the first. I dunno why.
