When I went back and started to replay the game from the beginning again I noticed that the option to "Get A Ride" was not on the menu for the first mission. Thinking back it may be that the game forces you to use the battle van for the first mission or two. To be honest, I'm not sure on that one.

The manual is no help in this regard either.

I used to love this game
 

I played this game as a kid, probably around 11 or 12 years old. Reading your troubles brings me back, but I was able to figure everything out, and took out the king pin. It was one of my favorite games of that time. I would consider this one a hidden gem. I was a huge punisher fan, so also got the Nintendo punisher game which was total trash. It was a shooting gallary game, I got to the last guy, he beat me, and I never played it again. One of those games that you couldent save your progress, and you have few lives. Anyway..thanks for posting this game!
