My report cards on friday.
*sigh* Our report cards are on friday. They can make or break your summer. I'm fine with my other grades, but I'm about to panic about one subject in particular: Filipino. It's because I don't really know if I did enough to pass.
Any piece of advice for a troubled and disturbed 14-year-old? |

i'm not sure whether it's the one i think that is since i have no speakers in here |
You worry too much.
If you failed, it's already way past the point you can do anything about it. So not worth bothering about it. If you succeeded... well, there's not problem then, is there? And since you still don't even know what's the outcome, there's no point in worrying in advance. |
Report cards made to look far more important than they actually are. A single report card can't tell who you are or if you are talented or an utter failure. There is simply not enough data. If your parents do believe that your report card tells them who you are or what you are capable of, then there is no way to tell them otherwise.
And what if you failed filipino? Is it important for you, or is it more important to your parents? People are talented in some things and not so talented in others, thats natural. Don't worry about the report card, as 5th said, you are long past the point of no return, so you might as well just go so something fun and productive. Show the world what you are made of :) |

Anyways, you'll be fine, just like 5th said, there's not much to be done for now anyway. Just relax and enjoy your summer darl' :) |
My son gets his Friday too. If he gets any failing grades I am going to beat him within an inch of his life.
:cheesy: |

@Fifth: Maybe you're right. Quote:
Thank You :amused: @Playbahnosh: As Lulu said, I'm a Filipino. At least my dad understands my struggles with the language and subject. :) @Lulu: Thanks as always. :) |
Listen to the Horseman, he tells you the truth. :amused:
You should have worried couple of weeks ago, but now you can blame it on the games and abandonia. :laugh: (if something goes wrong) It is not as Playbahnosh has told ya. Report cards do show how much time and energy you invested to follow the rule of the teacher. This is unless you didn't go well with the teacher, of course. (I had similar problems some 20 years ago...) And don't forget that you need those cards to get into collage etc... |
