Some of the coolest games I've played in my life are independently developed titles.
Games like Dominions 2 or the like, even Serious Sam was an indie title. But there are a lot of indie developers that usually distribute their games over the internet and aren't as well known. That's what this topic is about, if you know a good indie developer, or some good indie games, talk about it here, post some links as well. I'd like to start off by talking about a game I've been following for quite some time. http://www.theycamefromhollywood.com/news.html They Came From Hollywood allows you to play as a variety of monsters (taken from monster movies) and destroy cities and devour humans while fighting the army and a variety of other things, then customize your monster to your liking. It's been in development for quite some time, but hopefully it will come out soon, since it looks very good. |
I just don't like to think of this as a game I'd wat to pay for...

That looks really funny and fun. I wouldn't pay for it though!

I think MDickie still makes one of the best indy-games. Hardtime and Federation Booker are totally awesome games.

Some of the games from Satan Sam, are really underrated gems, check out his site here.
