Too bad this representation won't help you anything. The steps were simplified. In reality a lot more work goes into the eys alone (not just a few quick brushes)

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but somebody who knows how to paint will concentrate on making his or her paintings more detailed. So thus the progress of the painting of an eye in detail would aid more than this. No?

Just like with any other art form - you can't simply learn it. You need some real talent and must be able to break the rules (the one that are supposed to apply for your medium).
If one could simply learn art - that's what art schools are for - then that wouldn't be art anymore but a product made by the step by step guide to masterpieces and everyone could do it.
Yes at the begining some guidence as to how to do what is useful, but that isn't art yet. It's just a skill - like taking a photo. Most people can do it - but only a few can make an art out of it...
