One of my PSX games just got broken, but luckily my friend has the same game and he allowed me to take a copy.
If I want to burn a psx game, do I just have to "move the files from original cd and copy them to new, empty cd" or do I need a special program for that. And what about If Id download a PSX game from internet. How can I copy it to cd? Would it work? |
Just copying files isn't the brightest idea.
What you need is something like Nero, Alcohol 120% or CloneCD - a program that allows you to make an exact copy of a CD. Downloaded games are 99% of the time supplied as ISO images which need to be recorded on a CD - for this, use same programs as above. Regardless of source, a burned game will not work in an unmodified PSX. You will need a modchip to do that. |
Yeah, you'd need a modchip to play it.
If there's Swap Magic for PSX you might wanna look into that. Because the mod to the system can usually be made with soe tape and blue tac other than wasting ten bucks on pieces of plastic. Then just buy the disc. |
alcohol 120% copies them perfectly (i image my fiancee's PSX games to play on EPSXE so i know) and i don't know how you do the swap trick on PSX (i know it's possible though)

You shouldn't allow burning speed above 4x, cause then your PSX might have problems reading the disc.

Okay. Thanks for the info!
