Would it be an idea to have links at both their main pages and their forums to the other main page/forum, to draw more attention to that "other half"? It's quite possible to imagine people looking for abandoned games would like to see what's going on in the freeware scene, and vice versa. With such links, the traveling time would be shortened quite a lot, I think.

I know there are links on the main pages, but they are not exactly plain to see for the casual dropper-by.

We do share links on certain game pages, if AR has the remake of a game where AB has the original. Is that what you mean?

I was thinking more like a AR banner in say, the upper right, and an AB banner at AR, as links to the other site, just to REAAALLLY make everyone aware of the other site's existence.

As far as I see, Reloaded has a big banner to Abandonia on the left lower side.
Combining of the forums could be interesting.

YOu don't have to combine anything. It's only about having something to attract people who otherwise would be unaware of the existence of AR/AB.

I'm pretty sure most "Reloadians" are fairly aware of the existence of AB. I'm not so certain that a high percentage "Abandonians" are aware of AR, though.

Both sites have banners to each other located somewhere on the main page, and they do interlink on various pages, but not everyone notices such things.

If you'd like to start an AR-wareness campaign (heh) here on AB, that would be very cool. We could probably insert links to each other on our forums as well.

Freeware, though, tends to be even more of a niche interest than abandonware, and I do think it's healthy for each community to have its own individuality, but I'd love to have more members of our sister community visit AR on occasion:)
