What cookies do I get from the Abandonia forum, the forum advertisement and the Abandonia advertisement?

do you use firefox? if you do, options>privacy>cookies>view cookies

I'll emphasize the ad-cookies, then. What ad-cookies do I get from AB?

I think under google.com and googleadservices.com you can find all google related cookies. Why?

Cause Sypbot keeps finding these tracking cookies:

advertising.com
avenue a inc.
doubleclick.com
fastclick.com
hitbox.com
mediaplex.com

I wiped them out several times. And when I refresh I've seen that the board loaded domains that included related names.
Don't get me wrong, I just wanna know:
Is this a misdetection by Spybot S&D?
Do you need those cookies for getting my IP in case I was harmful to the board?
Or is this really adware?

just google on what tracking cookies are and determine if you would consider that adware. (note that they aren't program running on your pc).

If they come from abandonia. I don't know and frankly I don't care.

Well I looked them all up.

It's all advertisement companies, that seem quite serious. As much as internet ad can be serious... <_<

Heh that's what I thought too... But yesterday i freaked out. I got home from work and uni library, and saw that there were 40 popups on my computer. I scan it up to 6 times a day!! with Ad-aware, Spybot S&D and AVG. Some of those names you mentioned look familiar to me. And I dont do unsafe browsing at all :huh:

Abandonia forum only uses Google AdSense and the main Abandonia site uses Google AdSense and Tribalfusion, that's it, none of the advertisers you mentioned, so they can't be originating from abandonia.
