I like this game, its called RuneScape. Its Free, unless you wish to be a member. Its a MMORPG. You can be a fisherman, cook, miner, archer, mage, warrior, smither, etc. :ok:

I give it a 4 out of 5 because the graphics aren't that good.

played it... i had a level 67 guy i had got all the quests done and into the miners guild and full rune armor it got boring afterwards so i went to happy fun pk grounds didnt get that much cause most people travel in rune packs i gave my character away to a friend of mine Yobor/erik

Yeah it kinda blows. Even having 3 over level sixty characters doesn't help. My brother and I were members for a long time, and I ended up level 69 and he was level 87, and he just totally dominated the game. Shunk, your character is probably gone because we haven't logged into him in a long time.

I was a member on runescape for ages, and I loved it. I dont any more, I got fed up with the community of scammers, and all kinds of frustrating things in the game.. I then looked to WoW to solve my woes.

I played for a while. it was only fun when I played with my friend. So I did all of the non member stuff then decided that was enough and gave all of my expensive and rare stuff to a random guy who befriended early on.

Needless to say he was quite happy with around 1mill of stuff for free.

Yeah, the amount of scammers is very annoying, they are everywhere. Especially when you trade. I was trading my granite (g) maul for a dds (dragon dagger super poison) and the person had a good fast connection and he put up his dds and I put up my g maul, and then he'd quickly take down his dds, put it back up again, etc. while quicking clicking accept when he had it down. If I won the battle of who could click accept at the right time, it would go to the trade confirmation screen, if it said trading g maul for dds, he would decline.

I suggest that anyone playing Runescape, be careful when trading. Always check the screens twice.

And, Jagex doesn't block your password, like some people say. They just type in stars like this ************* if you say your password, it will come up in regular printing..AND..they will steal your account.

There are millions of scams, but if you are careful, and know what the scams are, you can have fun and enjoy Runescape.

It really is a good game if you give it a chance, the coolest thing is that Members get a new update every week, sometimes a quest, sometimes a new item or skill, etc. and soon POHs [player owned houses] and carpentry might be coming out early january or late december. :)

runescape is pretty dull if you dont pk.
its kinda fun killing people in it tho as you dont hafta do much so its easy to taunt people while you killl them.
the child population is annoying though. i have been playing on and off for four years now and the child population increases all the time. when they first bought in members it was ok as there tended to be more adults on members now though the kiddies swarm evrywhere.

In Lumbridge go to Bob's Axe Store and buy an axe from Bob.
In Lumbridge go to the General Store and buy a tinderbox, and some other items.

Go to Varrock, in the Sword Shop you can purchase a new sword, if you are just starting off, get a bronze longsword or iron maybe.

If you have no money at all, and just need, lets say 100gp or something to buy some essentials and a sword, you can kill goblins. They have drops. Another way is to kill chickens, collect their feathers and sell the feathers to other players for 7-8gp each.

Make no mistake this game would be better if it wasnt a daycare centre for agressive preteen a-holes.
The game is also limiting and not very exciting.

1: its free (sorta)
2: its stable
3: it doesnt take a super computer to work it
4: you can kill other players
5: people cant hide and kill u while hidden so its good for like relaxing killing of other humans

bad points
1: adult community shrinks all the time
2: the censor is so restrictive its ridiculous
3: leveling up in any way other than killing other players is boring and repetitive
4: fps quests suck donkeys (hey lets walk around the world again, and again, and again )
5: no alighnment system
6: a.i is pathetic
7: leveling up skills is just ridiculous and a lot of quests require minimum skill levels
8: fps worlds are non moderated wheras the moderation you get on the members world is borderline on ridiculous

1: cannot say gay or homo but can say pederast, shirtlifter, bumboy ect ..

Whoa, lots of different opinions on runescape.

I am a level 91 on runescape, I pay $8.50 a month for membership fees. I like runescape because of the sheer size of the userbase and the fact that you can't really cheat as such in it. Plus its also VERY soloable and a lot of the stuff you do is cinematic and there is lots of humor in it.

Having played everquest for about a year (I had a years gap in runescape in which I missed out on Easter ears and scythre), I would actually categorise runescape as being slightly better than everquest. First of all, everquest REQUIRES grouping, and camping monsters. Secondly, it encouraged RL money buying and trading for items over Ebay. Thirdly, its a NIGHTMARE.

Then about a year ago, I started playing Ultima Gateways, Really that game is worse than runescape. You have PURE pkers mobbing you in every town including Britan and Trinsic, then most of the noobies dont have a clue what they are doing.

Runescape, once you get past the free world, is a relatively nice place where you can talk about loads and loads of stuff with other people and not get flamed.

If you got scammed or hacked on runescape, I am sorry about that bad first impression.

MSN is censored because asking for personal details is asking the Jagex rules. For example, you can get banned from the game if you ask someone their name, address, email, etc. and also .com and stuff is censored because I guess Jagex wants you to play Runescape, not go on other websites.

And runescape ripped some of the ideas off everquest like the kitesheilds have the same texture as one of the sheilds in EQ and the treetop village in EQ is a near copy of the gnome village in runescape. And EQ had it all first.

I like runescape. It was fun. I played it till lvl 70 and loved (almost) every minute. I was a member but its very cheep.

I play WoW on and off. in some ways its better than runescape but its the sort of thing you play a lot for a few weeks.. then go off again.

The problem with Runescape is the community. If it was a single player game, with bots, it would kick behind!

to find decent people u tend to have to know what time it is in that country. you go onto american servers during there day time then loads of kiddies, but if you go on towards 11.00 pm plus in whatever country that server is then u tend to meet more interesting people..

I started to play the game some 1 year ago and i was crazy about it. Then I got a little bored of it sometime later. And I play it rarely now. But It's really a cool game. But there are far more offline games if you wanna play somethin cool.

runescape can be extremely repetitive. if u decide u want to play that way. i currently have a new lvl 49 charector. and have i mined on it. have i f. have i spent hours making things, have i f, in fact the only repetive thing i have done on it is fish for food. reosen - so far it has made over half a mill in killing other players and stealing there stuff. its a good game for the odd hours play, and a lot of people who play other mmporgs will play runescape to player kill. its an extremely good system for fighting other players. and people who play it also play other mmporgs , in the same way that an advanced d and d player will sometimes have the odd session of d and d for its simplicity. you think runescape sucks? i know why, because evrytime you fight other players you get p00ned. dang ch00bs. or becuse u decided the only way to make money was mining so your brain rotted as you spent hours clicking on rocks. haha.

killing other people while typing furiosly is always fun. and they react. the most meaningfull discourse you are going to get on a fps is like *LOL i sh00t u w00t* but some of the chats i have had while fighting people when they are into it can get well funny.
like any mmporg its all about who you got to private chat as well. they are all boring and repetitive in there own way. bare in mind runescape is a browser game that you can download within seconds, so if you are expecting flashy graphics, play warcraft or evercrack. people tend to get more inventive in the conversational way in a low graphic enviroment tho i find. altho r.s is unfortunatly now flooded with children who have a 4 word vocab, it is easy to advoid them when u know how.
u hate me because i like runescape? i have been playin it scince it was a 2d buggy pile of wierdness in which u could fight *anywhere* so u had to team together just to get from city to city. the new runescape is a very different animal. but its still a good system to kill people in while typing o pls help me as i am p00ning peeps...
