Sorry, Magic, those are two very impressive pictures you've got there, but the first word that came to my mind when I saw them was "scary" rather than "weird". Especially the one in which you used your own picture gives me the creeps. :ph34r:

that technique is something we have in common ... look at the upper left corner of my image. there is my nose without the holes in it ... I also got rid of my mouth but decided to not show it for this post ...

I voted for Swiss, no offense Magic but his is a lil weirder because the number of things in his adds to the confusion. Yours is good for a sig type thing, small and simple, easly navigated, but his is good for like a cover for a book type thinger...

Though I think Magic's is a really great image, I think Swiss's was better when it came to being weird so I voted for Swiss.

I think it was really hard to vote though because the styles are so completely different and they're both excellent.

I voted for Swiss, because there is more going on in it.
I like Magic's green woman as well, but it is completely different from Swiss's picture.

I voted for swiss as well, much more to see and to fantasize about in that one. Although more isn't always nessecarily better, in this case it ads a nice over-the-top feel to it. I don't mind green, faceless women though :P

Both pictures are tremendous and show heaps of creativity and imagination.

I loved Magic's picture for it's surreal beauty, but for sheer weirdness of detail, Swiss' picture is hard to beat.

But, as someone else said, 'tis hard to compare when the styles are completely different.

Hmmm, well, they're sort of similar, but they're not the same thing. "Weird" can have a whole bunch of meanings, ranging from "supernatural, controlling fate" (i.e. the way in which the weird sisters are weird) and "uncanny" to the meaning most commonly used today (meaning 4.a. in the OED, in case you're interested :) ): "Out of the ordinary course, strange, unusual; hence, odd, fantastic." So it's actually closer to "odd" than to "scary".

Never mind, you did a great job even though you didn't win.

I voted for Magic's.
I was in doubt for a while, but personally I thought Swiss' to be somewhat messy (no offense Swiss, still a great picture), and Magic's to be somewhat more subtle :)

If I was a spectator I would have voted for Swiss. His image has a lot more happening and truly is 'weird' it draws your minds focus to various parts of the image and its really great. My image was actually more 'Full' than the posted version as I had a complex background to go with it at desktop size. I got rid of that probably should have left it. Anyway bring on Round 2 ... I need to get my points :) :wall:

LAST EDIT: Here's my resource picture. I took this.... cloned some facial areas burned the skin added some scar tissue (I'll post a zoomed in section) and combined that with some overlay lumionisty colour brushing.
