When I first heared Demanufacture, I realized, that other songs from that album will be great. And I was right. Actually, I came to that album, when I was searched in Net for song Cars.

Blood-Pigggy 04-10-2005 08:28 PM

First I thought you meant the crappy reality show, then I noticed it said "Factory".
What is this "Fear Factory" anyway?

Nick 04-10-2005 08:56 PM

That's a Death Metal / Industrial band. Here are two links to two best songs from album Demanufacture.
Fear Factory - Demanufacture
Fear Factory - Zero Signal

EDIT: If you like those songs, I can give you some more links.

BeefontheBone 04-10-2005 09:54 PM

That cover of Cars is really annoying - what was wrong with Gary Numan's original, eh? It's not like he's never done anything heavy - check out Pure, it's a great metal album.

Shunk Eat Enemy 04-10-2005 09:56 PM

ive heard of them :w00t: there quite brutal i love them i dont have any of there cds do where you get these 2 songs btw?

EDIT funny i heard both of these on the metal channel 816 on direct tv and i really liked them

allyfaucet 04-10-2005 11:07 PM

 never heard of them

Chuck the plant 04-10-2005 11:51 PM

Way too few poll-options. I've heard quite SOME stuff that would make you laugh about the thought of mentioning FF and "brutal" in one sentence...

They're not bad, but there's much better stuff around.

bruno 04-10-2005 11:57 PM

i donīt like but i respect the style...............

Kearnsy 05-10-2005 05:12 AM

There is definatly much better bands out there!
Having said that there not to bad... just not that great!! :tomato:

Spoonman 05-10-2005 03:33 PM

Fear Factory was fun for a while at the time, I liked the Demanufacture album before it became to bore me :P.

I've heard their cover of Cars, sounded okay but I prefer Gary Newmans original version.

Nick 05-10-2005 07:07 PM

Here are some more:
Fear Factory - Pisschrist
Fear Factory - Hunter Killer
Fear Factory - Flashpoint
Fear Factory - Body Hammer
Fear Factory - Dog Day Sunrise
Fear Factory - New Breed
Fear Factory - Replica

Song "Flashpoint" was used in game Messiah. And someone else, in title, I just don't know what one... :)

Shunk Eat Enemy 05-10-2005 08:51 PM

hmmmm free legal music *drooling*

omg 06-10-2005 12:05 AM

fear factory ruuule. i know people who think they are to mellow though.....

Apocalypse Dude 06-10-2005 11:00 AM

I voted great ... here comes the but... but only the first albums, the new one is very crappy. I like Demanufacture and Obsolete best. And to remain in the game spirit, they did the entire soundtrack for the original Carmaggedon and this rocks big time

Thay are actually the worst in my honest opinion. But then again, who am I?

You're welcome. :ok:

EDIT: I have some songs from their last album Archetype. Some of them reminded me Demanufacture style. That's great, because last albums before band reunion sounded like simple alternative (Linkin' Park and so on). Edgecrusher for example.

Shunk Eat Enemy 25-03-2006 09:14 PM

Whats funny is i saw the Remanufacture cd track listing you practically posted a link for everything on it or i have most of the songs from somewhere else on other cds or links

Nick 27-03-2006 04:57 AM

Here's link to live video.
Zero Signal Live

EDIT: To be honest, they sounded like s**t. :not_ok: Probably because they tired (when song is starting, Burton looks red like tomato). Anyway... Well, see yourself.

EDIT EDIT: Here's link to some wallpapers. If anybody can find more, please share the link.
Fear Factory Wallpapers

Shunk Eat Enemy 01-09-2006 03:11 PM

I was watching Terminator 2 Judgment Day and i noticed something the begging of the song Demanfacture is sampled from that movie during the big chase scene. Also lots of the Vocabulary in the movie are song names like Cyberdyne and T1000.

Haven't you know that? Burton is fan of Terminator and Star Trek. They wrote soundtracks to Mortal Kombat (awell, as long as I can remember, maybe I'm wrong) and game Messiah also.

Hey, check this avatar.

Shunk Eat Enemy 02-09-2006 07:10 PM

I know they did Terminator stuff, but i didnt know about star trek. They also did a song for Demolition racer which is a game my dad used to be ubsessed with. I've played messiah but i dont remember it to well.

Horoma 04-09-2006 09:28 AM

I'm missing some poll options there. :not_ok:

I know them, they're not tool brutal, but they're not that great.

Marinkorpse 07-09-2006 06:58 AM

Ok, just to say that I've gone to a show of them in Argentina (Buenos Aires), first in a Latin tour. They sounded great, I did pogo (I don't know if that word applies in English) all the freaking night with my girlfriend, who has a very valkiryan metal spirit, jajaja.
I'll put some mp3 of an argentinian band called Mastifal that you can download from their page:
Carnivora (last album)
http://www.mastifal.com.ar/media/01-...io_radical.mp3
http://www.mastifal.com.ar/media/05-...ngun_lugar.mp3
http://www.mastifal.com.ar/media/09-..._las_horas.mp3
http://www.mastifal.com.ar/media/13-bionecrosis.mp3
From the darkness (English version of the Cd "Desde la oscuridad")
http://www.mastifal.com.ar/media/destiny.zip
http://www.mastifal.com.ar/media/entrails.zip

By the way in the middle of the Fear Factory mayhem I bounced into the bass player of Mastifal, jejeje

Treewyrm 09-09-2006 02:43 PM

I must say I'm very dissapointed in Fear Factory last releases, I used to like them a lot, for they were an example of how metal should coexist with industrial electronic. Personally I thought they should have progressed more into dark eletronic soundscapes. However now they sound like some third-sort nu-metal band. Rhys helped them a lot with making great albums such as Demanufacture and Obsolete, but when Fear Factory decided to do things their own way it turned out horrible, below-the-mediocre Digimortal is example. I keep Demanufacture, Remanufacture and Obsolete in my collection, everything else isn't really worth listening if you're looking for industrial metal.

Heretic 16-09-2006 02:18 AM

Im rather shocked that no one has mentioned their debut album, Soul of a New Machine!! Granted, it is by far their heaviest release, even delves into 'grindcore' in some moments and I'd guess much to extreme for some, but is absolutely brilliant in my ears.

But ill agree that their level of extremity pales in comparison to other artists/material :P

Nick 20-09-2006 01:21 PM

Well Soul of a New Machine is a cheap likeness of those like Cannibal Corpse and early Therion. Though I like some songs like Martyr, Self Immolation, Scumgrief.

Nick 06-10-2006 12:21 PM

Videos:

Self Bias Resistor (live)
Scapegoat (live)
Descent (live but s**t quality)
Scumgrief (live at Donington 17.08.1996)

Shunk Eat Enemy 30-10-2006 03:54 PM

Fear Factory - Descent (LIVE - Life NPA)

This is my favorite video on you tube of FF its a great quality video for Descent, idk if nick can see it. He has dialup? I think you can download the video instead of streaming it so you can watch it.

Is it just me or i am i watching T1 and T2 way to many times this past month? I mean they keep re running it over and over and i flip through the channels and watch it everytime! FF has made that movie more enjoyable :whistling:

Cloudy 31-10-2006 12:04 PM

I can't vote in the poll. They're not too brutal, but I don't like them much.
