Bobbin Threadbare 14-09-2005 02:03 PM

I make animation and cartoons. My cartoons won't look as good because I tried to redraw what I drew in Paint.

Cartoons:
Ok, there's one. Iwas going to make some thing with it, but I don't remember what it was.

Animation:
I made this one for a school comic strip.

Some wierd game I found on the school computers.

Kon-Tiki 14-09-2005 03:41 PM

Two things:
Nr. 1: What the hell?
Nr. 2: LOL
't Is all so freaky'n weird, but that bin-thing's so ingenious XD (and I don't think I really get it  )

Bobbin Threadbare 14-09-2005 03:48 PM

The comic was about Stewardship.

Two guys meet (Timmy and Jimmy) they go to the beach, drink beer then one leaves a 6 pack wrapper on the beach. You then get to choosse what happens. I'll put up the power point if you want.

RedHeadSebbe 15-09-2005 07:02 AM

Nice Bobbin :ok:

Bobbin Threadbare 15-09-2005 08:38 AM

Bobbin Threadbare 15-09-2005 09:44 AM

@Himmler: Is that a good thing?

swiss 15-09-2005 10:16 AM

the skater is cool!!!!!

and the dude in the costume looks like a teddy bear ... *think*

show us more of this!

RedHeadSebbe 15-09-2005 10:50 AM

Make the media icon small, and upload it as an icon then....I should be nice

Bobbin Threadbare 15-09-2005 01:53 PM

@Sebbe: Your request.
.:EDIT:.
It won't let me upload *.ico files, so you'll have to convert it yourself.
@Swiss: I shall.

RedHeadSebbe 15-09-2005 02:02 PM

Too bad...Nice work thoght

Bobbin Threadbare 15-09-2005 02:55 PM

I'll put some more up tomorrow. (Just to make it intense)

Bobbin Threadbare 18-09-2005 09:49 AM

Thanks!

Kon-Tiki 18-09-2005 10:44 AM

That matches-monster's an ingenious idea LOL

Bobbin Threadbare 18-09-2005 10:49 AM

Maybe a mascot for those fire safety companies. Instead of that bloody koala dressed up as a fireman.

taikara 18-09-2005 03:39 PM

You've got some funny and cute stuff in here, Bobbin. I really like the icon interpretations, they're unique, as I doubt many people would think to do that :ok:

Bobbin Threadbare 18-09-2005 03:52 PM

Thanks Tai. :ok:
I'm going to try make a Firefox and Thunderbird icon next...

Bobbin Threadbare 19-09-2005 07:37 AM

It's that time again!
Get these Mozilla applications and look at the pretty icons you get.

Mozilla Firefox
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...rt/firefox.gif
Mozilla Thunderbird
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...hunderbird.gif

Comments please!

Himmler 19-09-2005 08:48 AM

i prefer the originals...

Bobbin Threadbare 19-09-2005 12:42 PM

The thunderbird one looks a bit wierd I know.

TheVoid 19-09-2005 03:42 PM

Not really keen on the Firefox, but the Thunderbird is quite nice, actually.

Bobbin Threadbare 19-09-2005 04:21 PM

Hmm... The mouth and nose on the fox look slightly strange. It's really hard to perfect it when the icon is so small, yet so complex.

Blood-Pigggy 19-09-2005 08:34 PM

I love the Fox more.
He looks like he's hugging the world. Aww!
*Hugs the fox back*

P.S. Bobbin, you should try doing more things of this style, it looks great, the colors are nice and it's pleasing to the eyes.

Bobbin Threadbare 20-09-2005 07:24 AM

Thanks Pig, I will.

This next art thing is a bit different. I didmake it out of blu-tack by myself. Sorry for the blurriness. I then added a face in paint.

Blu tack structure:

RedHeadSebbe 20-09-2005 10:00 AM

Nice one :P

Bobbin Threadbare 20-09-2005 10:23 AM

I don't know what I should do for my next piece(s). I need some ideas. I'd prefer not to make a blu tack one. Ideas plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ok: I might make more than two. Depends if I can be bothered.

Bobbin Threadbare 27-09-2005 11:44 AM

Funny & Weird stuff Bobbin.

...I really liked the Matchman. Hehe, good one. :ok:

Bobbin Threadbare 28-09-2005 12:34 PM

He thinks my name is cool! Probably cuz he knows what it's from.

BTW, Doublefine is an ex-Lucasarts employee company.

I only made the one with my name labelled on it. My e-name, not my real one.

Sean 29-09-2005 01:55 PM

I didn't know who he was either to be honest.

Urbanraven 29-09-2005 01:59 PM

That would be Bobbin Threadbare.

Bobbin Threadbare 30-09-2005 01:38 PM

If you haven't played Loom download this demo (Passpprt to Adventure: Indy3, Loom, SOMI Demos)

Yes, we're getting a scanner sometime soon. You get to see my bettre drwings. Yay! :w00t:

Sean 30-09-2005 03:05 PM

Scanner... yay... we get treated to some hand drawings too!

Will you edit them once scanned or...?

Bobbin Threadbare 01-10-2005 02:52 AM

I don't like colouring my drawings so I might use fill colur in paint to put colour on them. I won't for my really good ones.

Bobbin Threadbare 01-10-2005 07:07 AM

Scanner's on it's way now....

Sean 01-10-2005 09:33 AM

Bobbin, I enjoy colouring scanned images... if you don't mind I will colour some of your pics in paint/photoshop.

Bobbin Threadbare 01-10-2005 11:16 AM

Thanks Magic! I'll get you to colour some if it's not too much trouble. And some won't need colouring (e.g. My drawing of a goth). Some are just straight black and white. I colour black because I only ever draw in black pen.

The scanner's a scanner, printer, faxer and photocopier all in one.

Sean 01-10-2005 11:32 AM

When will it arrive.. I already wet'd my pants in anticipation!

Bobbin Threadbare 01-10-2005 12:06 PM

It's arrived. It's like 10:00pm here. Really big. My room's tiny so it's hard to find a decent space. At least it's ported for my old skool pc.

Sean 01-10-2005 12:33 PM

Hehe.. I can't wait.. hurry up and scan something!

Urbanraven 01-10-2005 12:50 PM

wheeee u got a scanner congrats :D ..i have a scanner, fax, printer thingeh too.. but uhh i never use it XD

ha and yeah I wanna see ur hand drawn stuff too ^_^

Bobbin Threadbare 01-10-2005 01:00 PM

It's better than my computer-made stuff. BTW, what does XP and XD mean?

Yeah, umm... too keep you busy.

OMG! I just realised how crappy this is.

The goth I mentioned...

I just re-read your thread. You got some funny stuff here Bobbin. :ok:

Cool you got the scanner working... couple of hours to scan one image though?

The goth dude looks a bit sad, but I like the hair and his accessories - the picture has a kind of "Monkey Island meets Grim Fandango meets MoonKnight" feel to it. :D

Keep up the scanning.

RedHeadSebbe 02-10-2005 08:09 AM

Nice works!!

Bobbin Threadbare 02-10-2005 08:10 AM

Cuz I need to shut off every program. Even do the 'Crash Explorer' trick to get the software working. Then I have to close off all the printing, faxing and photocopying applications running in the background. Then copy the image. Close of the scanning prog. Paste it into my only picture editing program (I don't have Photo Editor. It's not on my MS Office CD). And the ink cartridges leak. Solved that by taking 'em out. I'll upload another scan later tonight.

I'm not too keen on the shoes though.

SwampThing 02-10-2005 08:15 AM

@Bobbin: Yeah... shoes are hard to draw. I think "shoes" and allways ends up with "boxes with funny strings attached".

Repetition is the mother of skill as they say. ;)

btw... have you made any Loom fanart? - just curious.

Bobbin Threadbare 02-10-2005 08:50 AM

Sorta. I did a pic of a swan. I'll post it if I can find it. I'll try drawing Bobbin too.

I'm gonna start scanning, so I'll be offline for a bit.

Bobbin Threadbare 02-10-2005 10:32 AM

What jammin' tunes will he play next?
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...nia/Art/dj.gif

@Magic: Fell free to colour this any way you want. I'd prefer if the guy's skin was black but light.

Sean 02-10-2005 11:53 AM

Alright, I'll do it in MS Paint when I got some time.

I got lots of muck to do today :P

Bobbin Threadbare 02-10-2005 11:58 AM

You don't have to do it. Colour it if you feel like it. It doen't really bother me if it gets coloured or not.

Urbanraven 02-10-2005 12:35 PM

your art is cooleh ^_^

and is magic gonna colour that goth? ^_^

Sean 02-10-2005 01:03 PM

The goth needs no colouring LOL!

Bobbin Threadbare 02-10-2005 01:19 PM

What about it??? We had a very "shortfused" teacher in 7-9th grade..

1-3 grade is "Low school"
4-6 grade is "Medium school"
7-9 grade is "high school"
And then you can do three more years is school if you want (recommended because you need the education for a job) Or else you can only be a trashman or something like that!!

Bobbin Threadbare 03-10-2005 12:07 PM

You make school seem so pointless. Scanning an image now...

Bobbin Threadbare 04-10-2005 08:38 AM

Ok, so I'm a bit late. But I have it scanned now and uploading now..... DONE.

I entered this into a school art comp. Ages ago. I didn't win. It's around A4 size.

Cute guy.

My guess is he shares about 50% of his dna with my whale. ;)

...I can't quite figure out the mouth though, is he pierced through the tongue or what?

Bobbin Threadbare 04-10-2005 11:51 AM

It's meant to be his tonsils.

You've probably noticed that this pic is rather low quality. This is because an annoying bit on the top of the scanner gets scanned and there's an odd block. So I scanned it without the lid on.

SwampThing 04-10-2005 12:08 PM

Okay. :)

SwampThing 04-10-2005 12:17 PM

...what does the writing on his pants (and shoes?) say - just curious. :)

Bobbin Threadbare 05-10-2005 06:12 AM

The writing on the pants says 'Billabong' which is a popular Australian clothing brand. The shoes say 'Globe' which is a popular shoe brand.

No pics today, sorry. It's like 36 degrees celcius. It's either the scanner or the fan. I wish I had one of those four powerpoint things. Or another double adapter.

Wow... wish I was there, we have like 10 degrees celcius here. :help:

Bobbin Threadbare 05-10-2005 10:08 AM

No, you don't. The highest I've ever have to stand was 43 degrees celcius! Bloody hot! And it's only Spring and it's that hot. Summer is the worst, seasonwise. But it's good cuz that's when I get free stuff on the 25th.

Bobbin Threadbare 07-10-2005 12:16 PM

Yeah, umm... Here's more stuff on that comics comp I entered. This is the original artist's comic but it's still talking about the comp.

Cute stuff, shouldn't he be a little fatter though?

LOL!

Bobbin Threadbare 16-10-2005 11:16 AM

Too late. Expect some more images tomorrow. (Hopefully)

BTW, is the whole pic loading? It's not on my PC but it doesn't really matter because I've got the real version. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

SwampThing 16-10-2005 01:57 PM

Aw... that's cute Bobbin. (and yes, the whole pic is loading here)

Blood-Pigggy 16-10-2005 07:17 PM

Yeah it's loading.
I agree with Magic, it could be fatter.
But it's great none-the-less.

But be sure to check that it isn't infected with the Thing.

Handbook To Keeping You THING Free
Chapter 7 - Testing Who?
Materials needed
-Blood tray
-Intense heat provider
-Thin metal rod (half a inch in diameter)
-Blood of patient

Explanation - The Thing attempts to protect itself, when in contact with danger, it will immediatly assert itself to remove itself from danger, ie a hot metal rod.

Instructions

First take the tray, then extract the blood from the patient via any sharp tool, be sure not to come into contact with the blood.
Afterwards, take the rod, and heat it with whatever heat source you have, once that is completed, press it into the container of blood.
If the blood steams, and no other action occurs, the patient is clean. If the blood squeals, moves or just all out jumps out of the tray, hell, that patient is infected.

Elimination
There is only one known cure

Complete incineration with any flame thrower or etc.
