I have a Premio monitor 17" and one problem...actually 2:
1.the red color doesn't display right..it's pink'ish 2. the contrast is too high ..in some games like CS i see the light bright and the shadow..well..black...can't see a thing what should i do? |
Well errrm did you try to set up the settings of your monitor and/or your graphics card or does it always display incorrectly?
the graphics cad is set up right..the monitor is weird..
You should check out if your cable is correctly plugged into the monitor, that might cause the problems, also has your monitor always been displaying picture this way, or is the problem more recent?
the problem was before..it must be something with it.. it is plugged correctly..i don't know what i can do..
Silly question I know, but do you have any strong magnets near the monitor?
Yeah if you do they might reak it
yeah..silly indeed..i need to change some settings somewhere but i don't know when and how
Don't you have buttons on your monitor itself that you could play with? If no, then it's probably a very old monitor and buying a new one might solve the problem.
Or try to set the proper lighting inside a game, many games have gamma corrections, so try to find that and set it up...
Or try swapping your monitor cable, I had a similar problem with my previous monitor (I have a LCD now). And my cable was rotten.
actually i'm using an old cable..i'll try and change it..but it'a not just ingame..it's everywhere..high contrast
Which graphics card are you using, because most of the graphic cards have tools with which you can correct the contrast..

trident blade3d pro media of 8 MB

Usually there's an option in your monitor's On Screen Display to reset everything to factory defaults. Might be an option, but you'd have to resize your screen again for every resolution.
It might have something to do with colour temperature though, check out wether you set that value to something strange. If it's to low, the colours are all to red, if it's to high, everything is more blueish: some more info on Wikipedia (knowledge is power!) |
That is an old gfx card. You have tried both the contrast options provided by software and the monitor's own buttons, right?
I used to have a monitor that didn't display red at all :D |
does it have any software?i don't have it :((
i have to set my gamma so i can remove the high contrast...but how do i do that?
*EDIT* Problem solved -i used Adobe Gamma Loader..or..wat the name is :D |
