hi there,
I just thought if everyone has his/her own art thread then I want mine, too. And off we go : 1) A sig I just created ... http://www.moccador.de/art/1.gif 2) The deadly spider that lurks on my balcony http://www.moccador.de/art/2.jpg 3) The flower at the end of the day http://www.moccador.de/art/3.jpg 4) A little sucker that couldn't escape my cam http://www.moccador.de/art/4.jpg Oh BTW : Any comments on this are gently appreciated !!!! |
Cool Works :)
|
I won't believe you saw a crocus in August, but otherwise very nice stuff.:)
|
ermmm that's no crocus ... it a ...hum ... well I think I put the original one for you here ...
If you know what this is please tell me. My English is not good enough to know a large number of flower names .. |
here's another one ... (i made that loooong ago - some time before I found my love for small creapy insects)
|
Your insects are very creepy and scary
I do like your flower and you Swiss squares a lot though. Keep up the good work :ok: |
Can you perhaps take a shot of the interior? It can be a water lilly or a marigold, I'd need to see a picture of the leaves and specially the internal structures.
|
Quote:
|
i take a photo of the "iterieur" of that flower tomorrow. It's closed now ...
Talking about flowers: here is the next one. |
I like them. They're very good indeed
|
Ooh Swiss. I like that! :ok:
I can almost imagine that I am really tiny, and walking through those flowers. :D |
Quote:
Well... I did study biology for a while, and gardening is a hobbie of mine. :omg: The stem does seem a bit short, and lillies usually have a quadrupule form, but I'm puzzled by those petal endings. |
All this fancy talk is scarring me..... :tomato: And ya, good job swiss!!
|
Oh yeah, nice shots :ok:
|
I just found out that the flower doesn't bloom (?) anymore ... Sorry so we probably won't find out what kind it is until there will be flowers again ...
Here is some other pieces of my nature-photography: 1) a bumble bee http://www.moccador.de/art/one.jpg 2) same one but larger ... http://www.moccador.de/art/two.jpg 3) my desktop background at work http://www.moccador.de/art/three.jpg BTW: My cam is a Sony P 200 - nothing more ... So go out everyone and discover nature ! :D |
Nice swiss! You have a weird fascination with spiders......
I hate them (shudder) but you capture them very well! :ok: I'm starting to think we should have a "name that flower" thread :D |
Actually I hate spiders !
The only thing that makes me photograph them is that "fascination of disgust" (?) and curiosity on how they look in detail ... :D I think it's much more interesting to photograph creeping objects instead of just flowers or people ... (And mostly I say that 'coz I can't do any other photography than flowers and insects  ) ... |
The first Bumble-bee has a really nice composition. I like it, Swiss :ok:
|
Quote:
Swiss could show us just part of a flower, or even a bitmap \ black & white photo of a flower, and we have to guess what it is. :ok: |
OK, here is my newest creation ... and if you like - name this flower : (it's too easy ... next thing will be hard ...)
|
Camomille? Very nice picture.:ok:
|
that was way too easy, aye ?
Try this : |
Nice pic. I like the frame round the flowers. :ok:
Sorry if this is a dumb question (I'm not an expert on flowers), but are they not daisies? |
I think camomille is right ... I am no expert in English flower names so I guess the second one is a thistle ? Or is thistle just a category and they all have their own names ???
(You're from Scotland ?! I have very cool pics from there, too. I think I'll search them to post one or two here later - then we play Name that location ... :D ) |
and another one ...
|
those are some awsome close ups what camera are you using? :kosta:
oops thats invalid i just read it was a p 200 |
Quote:
|
this one is for all the Scottish people here :bye:
(especially the girls - a flower for you - a flower with a dark and mystic background for all perils that lure in this hard world - a rose for all beauty that prevails) |
I think that the unopened buds above the flower you were aiming at take precedence.. If it was only the flower itself, It'd be ace!
|
The unopened buds before the dark sky make the pic seem a lot more dramatic, though.
|
.. it's not the size that measures beauty. The unopened are taller but not as beautyful ...
|
here is my "today's piece". I made a voucher for a collegue of mine. She wanted to invite two friends to have a nice weekend at the countryside ....
(sorry for the terrible perspective .. I wanted to make look a bit 3D-ish ... But I guess I messed it up  ) |
Motel Klein-Reesink? Sounds... erm... interesting.:P The card looks nice, though.
|
Thats her surname ... She is building a house right now and wants them to come over to see how things are growing ... it's not a real motel of course !
|
I keep imagining that house bang in the middle of a wheat field, but who knows what things are like in Vreden, right?;)
The 3Dish look is a bit odd, but that might just be because the two sides are viewed from slightly different angles. But I'm going to have my eyes examined tomorrow, so I may well be wrong about that.LOL |
Nice image... Im really not liking the 3D perspective though.
|
These are all very lovely, swiss :)
I'm no flower or insect expert, but I think it's really cool how you take pictures that mix the delicate beauty of flowers with the morbid grotesqueness of insects up close... It makes for an interesting mix ;) I particularly like the first photo of the bee in the purpled petalled flower :ok: The ladybug is also quite good :) |
that's soooo nice to say. thanks tai ! :Brain:
here is the machine that is responsible for these images ... (I loves me MAC) |
something not as beauty now ... but I like it (it's soooo crepingly slimish) :D
|
Actually it looks rather cute... for a slug.:D
|
That slug is a lovely contrast with the green grass. I like it.
Your Mac keyboard is done at an interesting angle. You have a really artistic eye. :ok: |
thank you mädelz,
I made these two when I took the first image of my MAC. I oversharpened them and I think the light and sharpness is a bit romantic ... :D |
Well, if you really feel that way about your keyboard...
|
I concur with Raffles, the slug is cute :)
And I simply adore the first picture of your keyboard... I love where you've put the focus, and how the light and the end of the keyboard are blurred, it's awesome... :ok: I also do like the over-sharpened keyboard images, but I still love the first one best. Good work :ok: |
Quote:
(If you think I am stupit - well yu may be right :D ) |
Macs are a lot better than PC's but I have to use pc because I live in London. There is absolutely no support for macintosh.. no software or games shops :(
|
Quote:
|
1. I am sure there are several MAC stores in London ... MAC is quite popular in the UK (at least I thought that)
2. Most of the good new games are made for MAC either (e.g. WOW, SIMs, TombRaider, etc.) and of course DOSBox ... 3. All MS Office Products run on MAC 4. MACs are faster for digital Art and film production ... ... but stop now ... this is :ot: |
Nice colection and work swis!
As for mac, it will be a peace of junk now that they are moving from PPC to Intel architecture. So mac will become only OS. ;) |
Swiss, your stuff is great!
Well, intel and AMD are running there stuffs into the 64 bit category, so it shouldn't be too bad to get a mac :ok: |
You are missing the point. Mac will become just different operating system.
OSX is based on FreeBSD, so it should work on many different platforms. :D As for pictures, isn't nice to see so clean keyboard?? My keyboard is huge mess. (Everyone who works and eats at the same time know what I'm talking about. LOL) |
Mine used to be white.... Now I don't know what type of grey it is...
|
Cleanest keyboard ever.
He takes too much pride in it though, must be because the Mac itself is terrible! Buy a new one! |
Well that's rude. If it wasn't for his mac we might not get to see those great images :ok:
I stink with a camera, but I can compile stuff like this |
Quote:
If you like you win xp pc it's ok for me - so please be a little more liberate to strangers :ranting: --- anyway you guys are going quite off topic :D maybe I should post the new images i took during my weekend off ... |
Quote:
You're really good with that camera of yours :ok: |
Yeah those are some nice nature pics indeed :ok: On first sight I like the bumblebee on the purple flower the most, it's got a rough edge and it looks like a really big ball of fur :)
|
one man and his ship - r-type ...
no, that was something else - this is captain swiss ... :D |
a slug playing carcasonne with us ...
|
.. and again a flower (what else did u expect ? ) :max:
|
more bumblebees? :)
|
I love that last flower of yours! :kosta:
That little drop of water on it is a nice touch. Lovely. |
I like the slug. It looks like it was caught in a really good moment :ok:
|
Quote:
|
and this little fellow needs his own comic or cartoon ... I think he is so very very cute !
However if someone of you knows what kind of insect he is, please let me know! (this and the bumble bee are taken in Friesland, NL) |
Awesome pictures, Swiss! :ok:
Where in Friesland did you take them, by the way? |
beautifal pictures, do you have some more to see?
|
I love that cute mosquito of yours! :D :kosta:
Just... WOOOOW! |
the mosquito looks very good...if you want it to look incredibly awesome you should desaturate the green around.
|
Quote:
|
I'm going to cut that blood sucka with my knife.
He just looks so good he's screamin to be cut up. |
He doesn't quite look like a mosquito. I have seen these one night bugs that look like that, but they are harmless to people and are another of those "food" bugs for nighttime birds and bats. All they do is breed.
Great pic, swiss :ok: |
Quote:
|
I think he liked it being photographed ...
|
Quote:
Or rather, where I lived most of my life. I currently live 3KM from the town center. |
Quote:
 this is what i ment almost..the desaturation is too big but ...too bad i don't have the time to make it look as what i want to see. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...l/MOSQUITO.jpg |
:D Your photos are great! I really like the ones with the spiders, like the "eye of the spider" desktop. Maybe because I  spiders because they're so neat.
OOoo and that one with the bee that's almost white. My favorite of your bumblebee pictures :Brain: |
Quote:
|
Sure :D
But keeping in mind that I currently live with my parents :not_ok: |
that's what I do now ...
|
Tnx for the bumblebee, I enjoyed it a lot ;) Do you have any of those weird red bugs with snouts (een soort rode wantsen ofzo)?
|
you don't mean the lady bugs do you ?!
|
I like the spider! Nice work!
|
No, not those (although it's a nice pic, makes me feel like spring :)).
They look like these http://www.natuurdichtbij.be/images/...ver%201668.jpg except that they're completely red. I'll try to take a picture if I come across of one, they're quite pretty. |
Are they just crawling over eachother?
That looks like the position most insects assume to mate. |
sorry to all modem users - this is a huge one. I am so proud that I got the focus on the right spot that I didn't dared to reduce the resolution ... Look at this disgusting mouthwhatever ....
|
Awesome!
Can I use some of your stuff for sigs? |
feel free :w00t: - but please don't tell anyone you made the pix when being asked. :max:
---- EDIT: And what do you ppl think about this as my new sig ??? (I think everyone who's interesed knows "name that hero" by now) |
I like it - reminds me of monty python ("Brian, who is called Brian".)
|
Hmm ... I just wanted to point out that I am not Swiss (from Switzerland). swiss is a mix of the first letter of my first name and letter 1 to 4 of my surname ...
|
What kind of critter bug is that in the big picture?
|
wtg, swiss, all your photos are excellent! :ok:
Another bee + purple flower, and this one is even better, I love it. The photo of you in the boat is pretty niftacular, too :D |
thank you.
@tai thank you ! :w00t: but somehow I dunno what niftacular is ... Now here is something not art- or insect- or flower-like: our new flat mate. He (or she ?!) goes temporarily by the name of "Hamsti". Any suggestions for a real name ? |
Snowball! :w00t:
|
Snowball?
No No No.. Fluffy Ice Cream! |
Theodore Whinston Barnaby White The Third! :D
|
Hmm. Sniffles, or eat me LOL
|
Quote:
:D |
Sniffles is a quality name.
|
Jerry is a cute name. What do you say ?
|
Oh oh.. were naming it?
I just re-read my post.... I thought Tom had said Snowball because thats what the rabbit reminded him of... oo.. well it was 2am ! Anyway, I suggest you name him...erm... Tomipha! (I couldn't think :() |
hmmm .. maybe we keep "Hamsti" ... Thanks anyway! I really wished to live in an English-speaking country. Would sound nice there to call this little animal "snowball" or "sniffels" (which is my favourite name) but when I talk with my friends and family then it sounds quite stupit to call a hamster sniffels (at least they would think so). ...
Anyway here is a brilliant new photo with the cutest girl in the world! My dear Verena. |
Looking good. You're a lucky man, swiss. A cute girl AND an albino hamster! :w00t:
|
Quote:
Well but (looking at your photos again) what about this: I give you the hamster and you will move here in my flat and then me and my girlfriend move to your house! :w00t: Then I would be extremelyoverlucky! |
Not for all the hamsters in the world! :bleh:
|
Or all the Chinese hamsters in China?
|
there must be billions even if any 50th Chinese kid has one hamster ... :[img]http://www.abandonia.com/forum/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />
|
mabe it's time for another flower. did this one yesterday on my balcony.
|
this is the second pic I took on the balcony ... a wooden deco spiral at night with special lighting by swiss :max:
|
The flower is really sweet...as for the second...you made a wooden deco spiral or just the special lighting? :P
|
having two left hands makes me go berzerk when I had to make a wooden spiral by myself ... I didn't even manage to knit a potholder at school (thanks to my mum for supporting me :D )
I just adjusted the lighting of that pic. |
Both photos are excellent man! They would do nicely as desktops. Heck... ALL your photos deserve desktop space.
|
Quote:
If you or anyone else likes one of my photos to do whatever with 'em - I have most of them in 7MPix Quality = 3072 x 2304 Pixels (showing off a bit, heh? :D) |
*concurs*
I like the flowers especially... the bright color against the black is nice, and I love how they hang from the top of the picture :ok: |
I wish I could take good photos...ah I just thought of a cool one... I'll go stick it in my gallery!
Lovely photo's swiss. |
thanks you!
but don't you think that only flowers and insects lacks of variety ? to do something against it I created a stumbling lemming ... hope you like him .. |
... and a little rodland fairy who glows ...
so and next will be a flower again. :D |
here we go!
I posted the other pic I made of these flowers somewhere in the thread ... this is the somehow more artistic one. |
Did you pixel that glowing fairy yourself?!
AWESOME!!! |
If it is indeed from scratch.. awesome as Mr.T often said on that odd program.
|
Maybe you can make a gallery of the different flowers and put them all in a HUGE picture. Then you could put all of them on the desktop :w00t:
|
Quote:
|
The lemming is cute ;)
|
is ethe lemming that pixel that moves a pixel or 2 left and right? too small.
|
hey there - i am back ...
I wanted to post this earlier 'coz I saw the sunset pics of tai and tom (both pics: wow). So here is mine. It's a true German-countryside-sunset! |
and a sweet German ant which I will recommend for PushOver2005
|
and one more for today.
This one shows what nature does and what mankind does ... Nature vs Technlogie Spiderweb vs Steelrope I like it. Coldness lonelyness solidtude |
Swiss, your sunset is beaatiful. :D
I love the bright orange sky against the dark outline of the trees. Lovely. :ok: |
i agree the sunset it is wonderful , keep up this beautifal pictures. :w00t:
|
Besides the sunrise, I think that picture with the spider and the steel thread is genius :ok:
|
Looking at that sunset, I start to miss the German countryside... :(
|
Looks awesome man :ok:
I like the sunset. |
Quote:
@ALL THE OTHERS: Thank you! I have some more romantic German counrtyside pix here and I am going to show them to you .... :ok: |
now here is my first attempt in pixelgraphics ... as not hard to guess : I did it completely on my own ...
|
and as promised another image from my parents house. (note: these plants are about 1 inch tall)
This one shows you the world in :Tom: -view |
what kind of flowers do you show? What is the flowers name?
|
sorry mistake, put a quote , sorry............... :wall:
|
Quote:
I normally just take anything that looks a bit interesting and then -> click -> adjust hue/saturation/contrast/brightess -> compress -> post it here |
hey everyone ... could this be my new sig ???
I am too unsure ... |
Nice one, but in all honesty I like your old (current) one better.
But in the end it's your choice. Choose the one you think suits you best :) |
I also prefer your old one.. the scale really ruins the new image in my opinion.

I guess it's worth the try. :D
:roflol: I try it. When my fingers are not red I maybe try to eat them. Maybe there is something in it that makes me think my fingers turn red ... :tease: @ :Tom: That's something about 400km away from here ... would have been cool if we could have a beer when you were there the next time but that would be too far then ... ------------------- EDIT: Ever wandered how these bugs look in detail ? |
Ever wondered what they look when they die ?
|
Ever wondered what kills 'em ?
|
And did you ever wonder who kills the killers ? :sneaky:
|
And ever wondered why I can't just post as cute pics as this one ?
(she's my niece - almost 1 year old - showing how tall she is  ) |
Aaawwww.
Is she in the habit of killing spiders? |
not yet ... but she's a little maniac. she will soon go out discovering creepy creatures ... I hope that I can join her then. :D
|
HeHeHeHe.... neato picture!
She kinda looks a bit psychoish.. like shes going to stab somebody with whatever is in her hand. I might try that... looking at her face it looks like great fun! |
I just discovered your pictures (from your signature)
I must say they look great! *being in awe* |
Teehee, that niece of yours's koddig (can't find the English word at the moment, but it basically means cutely funny)
|
there is a war going on out there ...
everyday creatures struggle for their lifes ... |
I hope the spider'll win...because I hate those bugs, and also because I'm a big fan of spiders.
No more words will be spent on the obvious awesomeness of your last uploads. :kosta: |
To not ONLY post disgusting insects here is a butterfly for you:
|
and to keep my style alive here is another spider. :D
BTW: What do you think about my new sig ? |
This one is called "Ohrenkneifer" in Germany. What is its name in English ?
|
bzzzzzz
|
and the last one ... I love these eyes ... don't spiders have normally 8 eyes ? well he is responsible for my new sig and avatar.
Did I already mention that I am afraid of insects ? But watching them through a cam makes them much less scary ... |
Quote:
Excellent pictures, by the way.:ok: |
Quote:
EDIT: Thank you AJRaffles! |
I love the new photos, man. Sorry that I haven't been posting so much lately
:kosta: I really like that butterfly photo. You did really good with the detail and zoom on that one! :ok: |
These pictures are great, as always :ok:
And your new sig and avatar are great too :) |
Quote:
I *dirty word* HATE THOSE THINGS ARGHHH1! *runs off to cry* |
OKOK don't run away. Here is something not so insectoidish for you:
|
and once more to keep these little creatures on site:
|
Those two are definatley the best photos to this date! Dazzling shots, both of them! :kosta: :kosta:
|
Thanks Tom!
What do you think about this one ? Looks as if the apocalyptical riders could come out of the sky without feeling like complete morrons, right? (douglas adams wrote something like this ... I love his books) |
just for comparison, this is the original that I took during my small summer holiday in June.
|
back from my holidays and with some new pix onboard ...
here we go. FEEL the autumn ... |
you know who I am ...
(they sold the lighter with "swiss" engraved for only 7 euros ...) |
whoaa ... this was a BIG one ...
|
he looks EVIL ... with a head like a scull ... *shiver*
|
... and a last one for today ... somewhat more ARTlike again ...
|
Very nice, especially the last one :ok: would you mind if I use it as my wallpaper?
|
Great work :ok:
I love the last one. |
I think that people put there images here so they can be seen and used. I've picked up a few good desktops here and there.
|
take whatever you like ... and if you wish I can give ya bigger ones so that they fit better to your desktop ....
|
Quote:
|
I like your bugs :bleh:
:D |
Quote:
hehe you can have quite a meal of one of those .... :D @allyfaucet I like your statement :D :D |
finally i took the time to make a pixel art thingy ...
looks like crap but now I can imagine how long Tom worked on this stuff ... Tom, now I am even more amazed than before ... :kosta: |
It's amusing, very good for your first attempt.
I've tried to pixel loads... they all suck. The roof looks like its hanging off of the building... :| |
Its like theroof is saying 'Well bugger you Mr. House. I'm gonna go somewhere else.'
|
It's pretty!
|
Quote:
it's just the same length than the rest of the house. I just decided to add a small balcony for Mr.Pixelz who's living inside this house. He's a neat guy and I wanted to do him a favour. |
Its too far back.. The balcony should be attached to the side of the house. Instead it is directly on top. Thats the problem... I think.
|
I set this one cool one as my wallpaper... which programs do you guys use? I'd like to make my own stuff
|
for my real job is being a preprint professional I use Adobe Photoshop CS as a matter of fact. :max: (the macintosh version of course!) but for making pixelgraphics you do not need anything else than MS Paint ...
|
Nice debut in pixeling Swiss. I myself really don't have the patience to pixel like that. I really don't see how Tom keeps up with it :D
|
I Really like that i of the spider backround i think it is really cool.
|
here is the pic I did for the "Magic vs swiss" challenge ...
http://www.moccador.de/swiss_wins_v3.jpg |
Swiss is sniffing the magic mushrooms!!
I know you love me but heh... no sniffing unless I can have your hair! |
swiss is beating the hell out of magic in this challenge ... :bleh: :D
and WTF is with my hair ? |
Heh your much more skilled to me when it comes to using photoshop for retouching and that sort of stuff. Im more a artsy dude :)
|
no wonder I guess ... I do that stuff professionally for 7.5 years now ...
but the next round should be a more "artsy" like one ... or we just do a few rounds of photoshop tennis ... |
so let me reanimate my thread with a series of pink images.
I printed them and they are all hanging in my hallway now. #1 |
#2
|
#3
|
#4
|
and finally my personal favourite.
the sweeeeeeetest girl in the world!     #5 |
nice pic
|
3 and 4 are very nice, not sure about the others though.
|
No bugs???
Those are lovely. Especially 3 and 4. The 5 may have a more special meaning to the artist himself, but it's cheerful nonetheless. |
Quote:
no bugs 'coz it's winter and most of those nice little creatures have gone to holidays in the warm south ... or somethig ... |
Or else they're frozen stiff and are waiting for spring to come.
I really love #4. I actually gasped when I scrolled down to that one. Just discovered this thread and gone through all the posts becasue the pics are just that nice. I've always been fascinated by insects, especially spiders. Perhaps you can imagine my glee when I saw a whole collection of interesting photos of insects and flowers and other neat stuff. You have a great eye for detail and interesting perspectives and... yeah, I don't know how you photographers do it. My uncle's a wildlife photographer, and it amazes me how he can keep his ginormous camera steady as he photographs eagles that are high up in the trees... But anyhoo, seeng as I'm tired I can only describe your work in one way: :w00t: . |
just something while waiting ...
|
and what do you thing about my (probably) new sig ?
|
New signature is pretty sweet but the text needs a little work as it isn't positioned 'properly' in my opinion, other than that I'm loving it :).
The pink pictures... the first one is probably my favourite. It's really 'organic' feeling and I just like looking at it. Glad to see you're reawakening your lovely gallery :) Give me some more and I'll give you a hug :ok: |
tell me how YOU would arrange the text !
--- BTW: What doy ou think of my XMas-Art-Contest-Vote-For-Swiss-Promo-Sig and -Avatar ? |
Quote:
I think your signature is great, it's christmasy without the use of that bloody hat :) Very original and nice looking as always swiss. Now wheres that hug.... *HUG* |
hey people,
I made another photoframethingy that is situated directly next to the one I made before ... for adding contrast I made up these pix in a blue tone. Tell me what you think! (and imagine them next to the others I postet some days ago). #1 http://moccador.de/1.jpg #2 http://moccador.de/2.jpg #3 http://moccador.de/3.jpg #4 http://moccador.de/4.jpg #5 http://moccador.de/5.jpg |
I like #1 and #2 the best. Is the thing on the left of #1 a seed pod?
|
Quote:
|
I like the second and the fifth... is this your blue period? :bleh:
|
I like the third.
The reflection in the glasses could/should be gotten rid of in my opinion. It's a striking picture you look so happy.. it's nice :) |
I love blue.
In the meaning of colour, that is. I like them all, but the 4th is strikingly awesome. Wonder why none mentioned it as a favourite since now  |
Well it's my favourite by far, beautiful.
|
Quote:
|
Relaxed then.. lazy now!
Give me more pictures :) Having taken a closer look at picture 4 after Alberto's comments I concur that it is a rather striking picture. The detail that was picked up in the original photo is simplified yet retained during the transition to blue. |
Great macro shots. I see you're adept wth a camera. Good show.
|
Hey folks it's January and we talked about a pic of the "month" contest ... if we start one here is my entry for the topic "January"
|
It's nice. I like it, but, uh, weren't we supposed to decide on a topic for the month?
|
Quote:

Oh. ...a practise. ...well, I don't fancy my chances.

I like a lot of the picture. :w00t:

|
this is my avvy and sig for the "themed avatar contest" ...
wht'cha think ? http://www.moccador.de/lionsig.gif http://www.moccador.de/lionavvy.gif |
That's good :ok:
Maybe the animation of the avatar could be "smoother" :tomato: |
Quote:

Quote:
The second thing why I used only a few frames is that I wanted the animation being very small (around 6k now). |
Yeah the movement is pretty good. On some games they use maybe three different frames. It's pretty pathetic. But you transcombabulated that nicely :ok:
|
Great work swiss! :D
|
Nice fotography :)
I might try doing some once i buy my own camera... |
Great work, i like very much, again i will say you have talent...
|
:ok: I never expected a creative person in you. After 16 pages of posts here I can say... I like your work :) In the time from August to now you have made really a lot of photos. (where do you take the time)?
I like your flower pictures most. But most i really like the pictures from the MAC-laptop :) (or should i say i book?) Perhaps you should make more photos like that (things - every day used in antoher shot than known :) ) Like the picutre from you balcony deko. The first thing I thought.. hmm it would be a nice desktop picutre. Looking foreward for more work :) Ok I hope my english was not tooo bad :tomato: |

THIS is my Entry for the January Art Competition on the "Future" topic ...
It shows my nephew at my PC with an imperial walker in the BG. It is WANTED to be pixelated! Enjoy. |
a leaf ... a simple leaf ... I just played with the lighting while taking the shot ....
|
As I told you here it is: the BLUE BROCCOLI (with typo :wall: )
|
Nature is always the best artist!
Very nice pics :ok: |
LouReed is one of my favourites ....
|
Well, I don't like Lou reed, but the picture is nice though :)
Nice leaf too! I've got some leaf interpretations myself, I'll post some if I can remember where I put them. |
Good pic, but maybe you have compressed it too much!
And maybe it need some kind of borders... |
I love the BROCCOLI....the blue is fantastic,,, :D
|
The Brocolli pick is one of the more amazing things I've ever seen. Bravo!
|
Did you have a photo of a little fish to put in my avatar? :ok:
|
... take a lighter and it will BURN ...
|
Okay, here is the first piece of art I made. I must say swiss's work and my current feelings inspired me. I hope you will like it, and I wanna hear the "master"'s opinon about it too :ok:
This is my beloved one after I finished with Photoshop: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e6...h/Gabi1jpg.jpg I know it is no big deal but this is my first work of 'art' I ever did... and she is my favorite :D EDIT: This pic was actually bigger, but that soddin photobucket resized it now its little <_< anyone knows a place where I can story my pic untouched and link them to here? |

Thanks I tried it, but my pic is 2,7 MB large so I can't upload it there too... Any opinions on the picture?
|
Its ok, not bad in my opinion, the pic looks a lil blurred, bit I think you did that on purpose, and the edges just seem a lil bit off, intersting backround though, and the font is pretty good, if a lil spotted :)
|
Wow thanks :D
The original picture is blurred, I made it fast I wanted to capture that moment and my arms were a little shaky, but the background and the font is grainy on purpose. I made that little blue shadow too, I don't know if it fits, and the font is made up of two components and I put them under the grainy filter to give them better look... (meanwhile, take a look at my music thread, I'm about to post my latest creation :D) |
:ok: nice work (even if it is in the wrong thread ... )
I really like it but I would highly increase the contrast of the girl in the foreground.then it would probably more interesting when you soften the background a bit. (having high contrast in the foreground and low contrast in the smooth background) but anyway good work! --- edit: what'cha think about this? |
The blur is a bit weird but overall it's a nice picture. Clean and simple. Great for your first effort. One of the things that I and many others do when starting out is make everything too chaotic to try and make it look cool. You haven't overestimated your abilities. Played safe and got a decent image as a result.
swiss pwnz you tho! |
Wow, well thanks for all the appreciation  This picture was inspired by the nice girl on it :D She is my muse now, makes me do all kind of stuff I never been able to do, like this picture. Of course I'm far behind you guys in art, but I always try to give my best no matter what :ok:
@swiss: Cool pic dude :ok: I always liked how you position the text on your images, this one looks awesome like this. I left the background dim on purpose, this gives the blue shadow some "glow" if you know what I mean, besides that is her room, so I kinda wanted it to be visible a little :D hmm, this gives me an idea, maybe I make another pic soon... |

No. You're behind us (I presume you was talking about me too :P) as we've had a time to experiement. However, I think you really have a natrual talent. For your first image it's really quite clean. Shows a good understanding of making 'pretty' images. Something I lacked when first starting out. I honestly think you'll catch up to myself fairly soon and there's nothing stopping you from becoming as good as our little retouch master swiss. Just remember my artwork is HARDER to make than swiss' even if his looks better, right swiss?  |
:w00t: Your nephew at your PC looks so adorable. What a nice and cool picture. The head set makes him looking extremely cool ;)

I took my time to renew my homepage. www (d o t ) moccador (d o t ) de I would really appreciate any comments on it. It's mainly about my photos. And please note that it is far from being complete and that it is supposed to be a SEARCH and click site ... thanx in advance for any comments! :) |
realy NIce, pro photos you have there and best design i think was in in "summer's lease hath all to short a date..". but i had to move my head like 10 cm close to monitor to read little "spätsummer" written in white, on bright background. and im missing some "narural" back button there
|
Yeah, the back button is lacking, but overall, I LOVE the page. What programs did you use to create it?
|

(ImageReady for the ImageMaps and the Image Compression) (PhotoShop itself for the design) (the ditor and some older HTMLs for the rest) Thanks so far for the comments! |
Well, the others before me said everything...
The site is good :ok: but with some downsides: it takes a bit of time to find the buttons... and the spätsummer2 section is a bit "confusing" Is the site only for 800x600 resolution? It looks a bit empty |
yeah maybe you should do site little more interactive, like i don't know random bugs/flowers flying over the galleries (lfor example in flash made)
|
Are you using a tablet for any of this?
Just curious. |
