Never heard about this game before, but it looks nice (based on the screenshots). I think I'll download it later. Thanks! :ok:

Sebatianos 09-07-2005 10:26 AM

It's easy to save!
Just click on the piece of paper (right under the crystal ball) the second icon whenever you see the map of Englande.

:help: If I run this normally all the fightscenes and cutscenes run mega fast, in dosbox it's all mega slow :wall: what should I do?

Borodin 09-07-2005 09:32 PM

Did you try using CTRL+F12 in Dosbox when the game's running? It should speed things up.

alucard 13-07-2005 09:55 AM

I used to play this on my Amiga. And I had the 1mb upgrade, so nyah! I've been trying to find this excellent game since I sold my amiga. It's the only game I ever wanted to play again. Brilliant! Thank you Adandonians!

Great game. Was looking for something to beat the exam stress. Completed it in 4-5 days of intense gaming, without looking at the walkthrough. I didn't unify the whole of England though, so I did read the walkthrough after completing it.

The most difficult parts are defeating melehan, killing demons.

The walkthorughs speak of many spells that must be used, but I used very little. In fact, I didn't even find Lancelot or use excalibur at all. And I used a very simple method to kill the final evil character (i better not mention who it is), no need for the complicated spell that is often advocated.

But I never found out how to exit the game without dying.

I've been running this game in dosbox 0.65 and the game speed is far to quick, I've tried slowing down the frame rate but it makes no difference. I also had this game on my amiga well...I still do. Its at my parents house boxed up with everything it came with including a great little map and well designed instruction booklet which had a mini history of all the people, places and items. I never finished it because it did have slow load times, so I'm desperate to play it now.

It is possible that you may need to go down to VERY low cycle values. Try 1000, 750 or even 500.

It would be much apreaciated if you could scan and send us those.

Guest 07-03-2007 11:46 AM

I'll try the low cycles this weekend, if I can get it working I'll scan everything, including the box for abandonia :ok:

Guest 07-03-2007 02:53 PM

BTW - what version of DOSBox are you using and what are your computer specifications?

I've just tested the game and it runs at optimum speed with the default cycle setting (3000 cycles) in DOSBox .63, .65 and .7 so I don't think it's a DOSBox issue.

I'm using dosbox .65 at the moment, and my specs are 2.4ghz cpu, 1.5gig 400mhz speed RAM, 6600 pny G card, win xp pro sp2

Guest 09-03-2007 04:08 AM

Then I guess horseman's suggestion (of around 1000 cycles) sounds just about right.

Guest_Ollie_* 25-04-2007 01:16 AM

I still have the disks and the map for this game... I loved it as a kid and still love it... really made me want to learn more about the knights I was playing in the game.... and the legends.

vefigueroa 20-08-2007 07:34 PM

Hey could anyone tell me how or where i can fine the password map cause I can play the game!!!

Sebatianos 20-08-2007 09:35 PM

??? You don't need any passwords. Just download the file, unzip and play (do not install, just maybe change the settings). If at any time the game asks for a password, just enter something randomly it will work.

Like King Arthur legend?

There is a great new game released by a small Hungarian developer NeocoreGames, called 'King Arthur The Roleplaying Wargame' It is a mix between Total War and Heroes of Might and Magic!!!

Check out the developer diaries on You Tube (there are three of them) then go buy this great game at any of the digital resellers, or Steam. There are plans for a retail release, but I don't know if/when that's going to happen.

The game was released in November 2009 and there are already 2 patches (which solve all the problems, on my PC anyway!) and 2 DLC with talk of an expansion/larger DLC!

Here's the link to the first of three Developer Diaries, introduied by the designers themselves!
