Maerlyn 31-03-2005 03:16 AM

Well done Canalis Analis. I just looked through previous topics i had been interested in and some of my posts were deleted. Nice government youre running here, please die.

Not aimed at you wendy, i just looked at who the moderators for this section were.

DeathDude 31-03-2005 03:21 AM

Sheesh chill dude, what topics are you talking about?

Hkizzle 31-03-2005 03:26 AM

Usually doesn't help when you tell people to go die. :rifle:

Maerlyn 31-03-2005 03:31 AM

Not trying to help anything, i believe most of you are beyond it.

taikara 31-03-2005 03:35 AM

I have to agree with Hkizzle...

A lot of the things you say are sometimes, shall we say, offensive? Personally, don't think I would have deleted them, unless they were just unbelievably inflammatory, but I'm not a mod, and a lot of the mods/admins here are watchful about such things.

There's a lot of members, coming from a lot of different cultures and backgrounds, and the admins and mods have to think of them, as well.

Keep expressing your opinion, by all means, but maybe try not to be quite derogatory towards other members?

Just a suggestion ;)

DeathDude 31-03-2005 03:37 AM

Good points taikara :ok:

Chuck the plant 31-03-2005 03:37 AM

Funny how it's always somebody else's fault... I mean, how could there POSSIBLY be a reason to delete posts?

If you don't like it here, feel free to leave... guess nobody misses a whiny nerd anyway.

P.S.: You forgot to write "fascist scum" in capitals and with lots of "!!!!!111!!!"s...

Iron_Scarecrow 31-03-2005 03:38 AM

This can only get worse.

taikara 31-03-2005 03:40 AM

@Chuck the plant: Of course, I don't think posts like that exactly help the situation, either. It's more likely to just feed it and make it worse. ;)

Rorture 31-03-2005 03:41 AM

Why don't you give us an example of these posts, then we'll be able to decide for ourselves.

There's a difference between expressing an opinion and outright putting crap on people. Of course, the lines can be blurred. Especially in the case where the speaker is extremely outspoken.

Chuck the plant 31-03-2005 03:45 AM

@ taikara: Some things just need to be said... ;)

Iron_Scarecrow 31-03-2005 03:46 AM

Chuck: Posts like that were the reason he left last time, we don't want him to leave again.

taikara 31-03-2005 03:48 AM

@Chuck the plant: Indeed. But there are always different ways of saying those things, some of which are positive, some negative. :D

I prefer to go with the positive approach myself.

And truthfully, in a lot of cases, some people are just waiting for those things to be said in a negative way, so that they can turn around and use it to begin a flame war.

The best offense is sometimes a good defense. ;)

Oh, so you mean he can dish out but not take the heat? What great character indeed.

Oh, and please, speak only for yourself there ;)

He left because he knows this is a very close community and he's not insensitive enough to want to ruin it by creating so much hostillity.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

So you mean to tell me he used a latinisation (or what he thinks could be latin, that is) of "a§§holes" to adress the mods here, because he doesn't want to "create hostility"? You're kidding me, right? LOL

EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaaaah, f*ck it, I'm going to bed now... LOL

Iron_Scarecrow 31-03-2005 04:03 AM

Hmmmmmm.

Well I'm not sure what he's trying to do but telling him to leave isn't going to solve the problem.

Also don't forget this:

By the way, you do realise that we're all b*tching on like a bunch of fishwives.

DeathDude 31-03-2005 04:36 AM

As long as it doesn't break into more flaming.

wendymaree 31-03-2005 05:01 AM

Maerlyn, like Iron Scarecrow says, is extreme in his words, but despite the literal connotation, he doesn't mean anything in a malicious way. What I mean is, he's being outrageous in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way. When you get use to this, you see he's really more of a mischevious stirrer than anything. If there is anything he's said that you think is really hurtful, explaining how you feel in a non-personal way (that is, without being offensive) always gets a good result from him. He's actually one of the more interesting members if you read his posts with a tongue-in-cheek attitude.

Omuletzu 31-03-2005 07:22 AM

Right, am i going to go one further, Maerlyn, and say "why are you back?Who wants you here?".For once i thought you did the honorable thing and left, now i see you're back?!
I will never accept a person whose posts are border line offensive, wendy. How you choose to interpret his message is your choice, but you cannot deny that every post he makes is flame meant.
I mean for Christ's sake in his return post(see the first page) he says "i hope you all die".I really don't know why you weren't banned, but i'm going to have a discussion with the admins to see if i can achieve this.

Tom Henrik 31-03-2005 11:59 AM

Maerlyn is under my protection!

He will not be banned, until I have figured out what is going on.

And for all the older members, remember Stroggy? He was the most fun member we had back in the days when he was being a complete A$$! ;)
