Hello there.

I have 2 games to upload if you like it, the classic Sim City and a game from Taiwan, in Chinese, called Silk.

They aren´t original games, I mean, they are pirate copy that I played years ago.
Some years ago I grabbed all my 3.5" disks and saved all the games in a CD, and I have some games that Abandonia needs to be happy.:ouch:

What's the difference between your simcity and the classic we already have?
Also, can that chinese game be played if you don't know chinese?

First, I want to say that I was a little worried about nobody answers me, I thought that because my games are copies, not the original ones, and you didn´t like it. I read the rules and they say that Abandonia will not accept Oldwarez, and I thought that my copies are Oldwarez (what are Oldwarez?).

But I understand that you don´t live in the forums!

So, the main difference between Abandonia´s Sim City and mine is that yours is for Windows an my copy is for Dos.

They are different in someways, like in Windows you can´t scroll the map moving your mouse and with Dos you can do it moving the mouse in the four directions of the screen, then the map scrolls. It´s and advantadge! :OK:

Also, in the Windows version you can build the buildings faster or do roads, in Dos version is slowly refreshing the screen. Other differences are that in Dos the graphics are bigger and in the Edition Map you will see less buildings than in Windows version, and so on.

I think that Windows Sim City is better because It uses a graphic environment (Windows) and the MS-Dos is a little crappier moving the mouse because is MS-Dos, and is not so faster.

The Dos version was first and then later comes the Windows version so I think that the first Sim City must be included, it´s the genuine Sim City!

I only can say is that you compare the version an judge for yourself.

Those screenshots do look like the version I was playing on my DOS machine when I was really young.

And about SILK is a very simple game, you don´t need to know chinese!

I did some archeology and found that the game is based on Quix, and it´s similar to Volfied and Gals Panic. It´s about this :max::lol::p

Your objective is open the background image by drawing lines and don´t letting the bad guys touch your line, when you have opened 80% of the image, then you win and then goes to the next phase but with the girl in the background with less clothes.

I think it´s a very solid game; nice music, with digitalized speeches, good graphics and funny game. It´s perfect for teenagers, and if you are worried about what you can see, it´s very light, any strip poker game shows more than this Silk.:hello:

@Alexis just ignore what arete said. ^^ As long its not Porn or so it should be okay. We have also some sexy games onsite. ^^ But Admins have the last Word in that.

I think some people also submitted SimCity (DOS) Game, but nobody did send in a Review to put it on site.

Hmm, games with the sole intention of seeing nearly-naked women might not be suitable for AB. :ph34r:

I'm sure we want the DOS version of SimCity, although I don't know if it will be added with a separate review or how else.

Kosta had a "no 'adult' games" policy. As Paco said the current admin board will have to decide, at least in this case. Myself I think there's no reason to bar it.

One of the image clearly show a lady top naked and this game look like an arcade game which was reputed for its naked lady. I will need to back up Arete on this one and say no too.

It doesn't look any more explicit than what one gets to see in the Larry series. Actually IIRC Larry 6 had a few more explicit scenes - and yet, it was hosted on AB at some point when Kosta still ran the place.

EDIT: There may be a pixel nipple here and there, but television advertising is more sexual than this game.

I think the point is: is it really a real, full game, or is it an obvious erotic or sex game?

If this game is what I think it is then the whole point of the game is to finish up the levels to you can undress the ladies. As thus, I think it is an erotic or sex game.

Leisure Suit Larry is an adventure game based on the protagonist trying to have sex. Which never really happen. And every single chance we get to see something is completely censored. I'm not sure the comparison hold the road here.

If it is what you think it is. Which we won't know for certain it is or isn't unltil someone actually checks the thing after it's uploaded to our FTP.

But you can upload it anyway, I'll need to check it out, you know, to see is it ok for our site and stuff... :hihihi:

Anyway, I do have to agree with arete and EOF, I like being conservative about this stuff. This is a clone of Fantasia games on arcades and it is sexual games. You can see a female brest, which is IMO normal thing too see, but it is sexual for kids and I don't won't to "pull a leg" or "break the ice" on this kind of things. It always starts slowly and I don't want to start it.

Also, I agree with EOF on Larry games. I actually don't think there are explicit scenes, but I can handle explicit scene or two, but not the game where every level has aim to see the scene like that. Even if it is computer graphics, not digitized photos.

So, Alexis, do upload it, I will check it, although I already feel it's a no-no.

And thanks for that cimcity shots. I just remembered my friend had both versions on 286. That just refreshed my memory.

I was thinking, perhaps adding DOS version as extra in existing review page... Or those are too different they deserve separate pages? I'm not sure really...

And Alexis, do post a list of games when you find time for it.

I guess the question is whether the nudes in this game are so mild by today's standards that nobody would play the game to see them. I haven't checked it yet (if it happens not to be as mild as I imagined, let me know so I can check it). :P

Why would mild change anything? We either don't allow sex games on site or we do. I don't see why we should talk about a "gray area"...

Well, My PC crashed nearly 3 months ago, and I hadn´t a PC for maybe 2 months (yes! I lived without touching a computer for 2 months and some days!).:sick::palm::dislike::unsure:

Only in the last weeks I started to need a computer, you don´t even realize what you will do for entertain yourself! (listen the radio about news or phantasmagoria chanels, take the DVD player from living room to the sleeping room, seeing ALL your pictures you have in CD and DVD original or not, going to the library and take some interesting films (that´s the awarded ones that you think they´ll be good from around the world; like from Afganisthan, Egypt or Colombia, all depessing ones), reading again your child books about dinosaurs and so on. :bleh1::bleh1:

But meanwhile in that time I was sad about the games that I promissed to upload to help Abandonia but I couldn´t do it because Pc crashed.

So, let me one week to read about how to upload games, my english and brain is not so good in this , let me do it calmly. :hello: :OK:
