Yeah, but to my experience, the majority of profiles on any page lies about the age... Too old, and even too young at times.

Heh, I feel also old in this couple... I also played these games on site, when they freshly camed out. On Atari, then on PC as ( my favourite games still playing: Albion, Ufo-enemy unknown, Settlers II)

I am glad that a lot of yunger guys are interesting about these evergreen games.

I'm kinda surprised by this poll, I thought the majority of abandonware gamers would be 25-35 ish..

I am 28, well on my way to 29. Sometimes I feel old, sometimes I feel young. I have friends between 21 and 40, so I guess that has something to do with that. But almost all my life I had the majority of my friends 3 to 8 years older than me.

I'm just trying to make a point: The ''age is just a number''-thing doesn't make sense. Because it's far from the truth. While one can indeed be young in mind, that doesn't make age ''just a number''. And besides, it's only natural to age, and should never be something to be ashamed of. No point in trying to somehow hide it with silly sayings.

Age is just a number in that time is simply a construct of the human mind. While it may appear to be directly related to the operation of everything, it simply appears that way because we correlate it to do so. :)

YEAH got it in one....As to the matter of health and ageing...I don't personally know what its like in Europe or America but in Australia the health of young people particularly in the area of weight issues and the associated illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure juvenile stroke etc etc etc is a big issue..As a nurse and social worker I deal with this stuff.
Sorry to get serious but modern western society is condusive to over indulgence in just about everything and the effects of this will be seen as the population ages.

and that my friends is why australia sucks at rugby anyway, im 14 myself, i might consider becoming 15 later but im not too sure

I am 17. I was 12 when I joined here. I grew up on abandonia.

I always considered my "growing up"-era to be between the ages of 0 (yes, 0) and 10, to be honest. I don't feel like 11 years of age and forward was a part of it. Well, not yet, anyways. But I was just as nostalgic back then as I constantly am now. Not the best way of spending your youth, is it? Having this constant longing for what was before? :/
