On blood omen it tells me i need a cd to run the game in win xp. How can i fix this?

I never encountered this problem... Please unpack the crack.
If this doesn't work, please reinstall, AND BEFORE RUNNING THE GAME, UNPACK THE CRACK.

Uh, I got a problem with Blood Omen. I used the crack but when it runs it is at first unresponsive to commands until I press [Esc] then [Alt]+[Tab] it the cursor appears then and i can click on 'options' but can't get out after, or 'play' in which the first game screen appears, the bartender speaks but then i can't do anything except [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Delete] except then my desktop resolution is at 320x??? and can do sweet FA. The only thing i can do after that it press my reboot button. Any ideas?

OK fixed that now but i haven't got much further yet because as soon as the bartender stops talking I can attack but all my character does is walk left.

hm well first check you havent got a mis-calibrated joystick in windows control panel.
then check the controls setting inside blood omen from the main menu

No miscalibrated joystick and as soon as I go into the controls panel the game freezes :(

meh. well if you have broadband (or endless patience, like me) i recommend downloading the full psx version (there are a few bittorrents for it around) and playing it in epsxe emulator. the pc version isnt as good.

heh to tell the truth, a lot of things have the worst version on p.c - dont even get me started on the ports from arcade games

giving links to roms is illegal but the emulator is over at ngemu.com, just make sure you have a psx bios as well (can't link to it as it is still copyright to sony so it would be illegal to link to it.)

Right, I don't have a psx bios, most of the stuff i've seen on other sites is for writing programs for playstations. Even if i could write a program in anything better than basic I wouldn't want to because personally I think playstations suck. I wanted to download the file from here because I can't find the game anywhere else and its not working for me. So give it to me straight. Should I give up and get on with my life or can someone help me?

BTW I also tried downloading it from HotU but the crack doesn't work on that version so its always asking me for the CD.

the hotu version should work fine (thats where i downloaded mine before it was put on here) and if you want the psx bios, google it (i didn't have to as i have quite a few links in relation to emulation).

unfortunately it doesn't for me. As i said, the crack doesn't seem to work.

well if the p.c version wont work for you, and you hate playstation, you can either;

1. give up.

2. buy the p.c version cd *no guarantee that would work, if the cracked version doesnt.

3. buy a 3DO console and a copy of blood omen.

Where did you download the game and crack from?
