I think certain answers probably lower your score instead of increasing it.

They should have had for the books Cliff Stoll's book The Cuckoo's Egg, I've read that like 20 times. =D

42 that was the funniest one there, I liked that movie

each question is worth %0.19724 to your score they are static. Not a very good rating system.

Kugerfang 05-07-2008 03:00 AM

9.66

Sacrilege! The original radio series and books are better... Also, I own the 1980's television series version on betamax.

I think I've just proved my score :)

_r.u.s.s. 05-07-2008 10:51 AM

yeah, by telling "i like that movie" on the 42 you have proven yourself as not geek :P

What if: "I liked both the movie and book"?. I did.

Office_Monk 05-07-2008 01:38 PM

... but I wear glasses, collect figures, comics, DC Heroclix and old games and play Steve Jackson games. :)

Blood-Pigggy 05-07-2008 04:45 PM

Seriously dude, that's really messed up. How can you even think that that film came first.

nvrmre 05-07-2008 07:18 PM

12.03% Geekish Tendencies

I think that should be higher - some of these questions should be weighted, like playing D&D... I don't think its humanly possible to be a borderline geek if you play D&D

My favorite question - I WANT... a date

LOL!

Eragon100 07-07-2008 09:26 AM

34% ! w00t!

Bp103 09-07-2008 09:38 PM

"_r.u.s.s. yeah, by telling "i like that movie" on the 42 you have proven yourself as not geek :P"

There are many ways to be a geek but I was born in 1991 so I never saw the 1980's shows or have found the books but I would read and watch them both at the same time at If i had them both.

"Blood-Pigggy Seriously dude, that's really messed up. How can you even think that that film came first."

I did not say that, and yes that would be really messed up.

*defends my geekhood*

Lulu_Jane 10-07-2008 04:30 AM

It's not that important, I was joking more than anything else. Anyways, check out the books, they're great :)

My 25.04931% geekiness demonstrates that I have achieved a perfect balance between geekdom and normalcy, although I disagree that it corresponds to "Total Geek." I mean, "total" implies 100%, wouldn't you say? (Yes, you would.)

arete 11-02-2009 05:34 AM

26.42998 - Total Geek. Would have been twenty-five, but "as the ratio of male to female geeks is 10:1, a 1% advantage is fair."

I'm a Geeeeeek! ^_^

AlumiuN 11-02-2009 07:28 AM

48.10431% - Super Geek

No surpises there, says Abandonia-dwelling, Magic: The Gathering, D&D and Heroscape player AlumiuN, who has 4 computers in various states of software compartmentalization and hardware disrepair. :D

ayoeness 13-02-2009 07:01 PM

I'm a total geek 28,79684%.

And I'm feeling a little proud actually..

Mighty Midget 18-02-2009 06:35 PM

11.04536% - Geekish Tendencies, but the fact that I took the test would suggest that this number is too low.

I dunno, these days everything can be researched and learned online but it wasn't always so easy. I remember I bought the C++ superbible and read that thing cover to cover like four times. Computer manuals kick ass!!! Now, it may be true that i don't really do much with this programming but still... Computer manuals kick Ass!!!!

The Fifth Horseman 26-02-2009 10:30 AM

Only ubergeeks don't need manuals.
Regular geeks do.
Except they don't need to read the manual more than once :p

Lulu_Jane 26-02-2009 10:46 AM

... I write tech manuals, what does that make me?

Tomekk 26-02-2009 10:48 AM

25.01123% Total Geek :D

El Quia 26-02-2009 12:26 PM

I just recently take this test... again. I try to take once a year, to see my geekish progression. And it's on the rise ^^.

31.36095% - Total Geek

It's geared to a certain kind of geek. Before, I was more of a literature geek, with IT tendencies... Now I'm both in equal proportions... and a total RPG geek.

I think this test should be more balanced and updated... But it's fun, nonetheless...
