i got expelled from my school today... out of 88 days this year i have attened 60 out of 12 assessments in different subjects i have completed and/or handed in on time 5 i failed English Legal studies and Art... sad i know. :max: now i have to look for a full-time job. thats going to take forever... <_< the princible said i have problems with athority... darh! guess now i have all this spare time now what about you guys... ever had a situation like this |
Sort of. my principal was a tyrannical evil mastermind bent on twisting my poor young impressionable mind until i was just like all the other drones at my last school. i almost got expelled, but i beat the *expletive deleted* to it and left myself. thats what happens when you go to a private school.
|
LO.L? expelled for skipping 12 classes? that's absurd!
i skipped like hmmm 50 classes this semester alone and i only got a warning. and it was a verbal warning too. almost failed history, but managed to "escape my death" :D now i only have to give my final exams so i can go to a faculty in bucharest. i will probably fail them, but meh... |
TODAY EXAM! NEXT WEEK EXAM! ONLY TWO MORE EXAMS!
|
Himmler, you ought to study more math :P 88-60=18
Ok, 18, that's more than 20% of the total. I'd say that's a rather big share, and 5/12 isn't really all that much either. Still, I'm sorry to hear you got expelled (btw: No, even if I hate school, I still wouldn't "recomend" anyone to drop out or anything). Hope you get a job soon. Good luck :) |
Yeah skipping classes is useless, if you pay attention you can sail through education with very little studying.
|
I had lots of spare time when I tried to get an apprenticeship.
I welded and screwed plastic parts together for x,y € / h I put straw in the cabin for a lump sum of XX € Short term work. Boring and stupid. But it brought me some money. You'll get it done. :ok: I'd still reconsider having some more education/studying if I was you. :sneaky: |
once i almost failed from chemistry and ..ok twice.. and i .. OK OK three times. geez. and i thought it would be something terrible (after the first time) but after a while i conciliated with it and thought that when i am 75 i wont give a *meep* whether i finished my school year later or sooner.

Hahahaha, Green got owned!
|
That's pretty harsh green.
Though a girl at my school is from Hong Kong, she was telling me that if you're late for school three times in your entire school life (the full, 14 year school life) then you get permanently expelled from the whole schools system. Ditto with jobs too. That headteacher sound like an arse anyway. Keep on sticking it to the man! |
Well, once you have finished the basic secondary school here and begin to study in any kind of a college, the rules become strict. If you skip a lesson you got to bring a medical statement or the absence will be noted as without valid excuse. If you skip more than around 24 lessons in a month without an excuse, you get expelled without any further thought.
Also the skipped, unexcused lessons affect the notes for each responsible subject for an entire term, so unless one is really determined to study something and finish it, it's adviseable to consider to spend the time in a more meaningful way. It's funny how many people go to a college without spending a thought about what they actually want there... |
ONE MORE TO GO!
|
good luck dude :D
|
thanks guys...
i'll need the luck... corowa is like the hardest place to even try to get a decent job! i've got my work cut out for me |

But once you start studying at the faculty you don't even have to attend. The lectures are of an open type (anyone can attend) but attendency is not obligatory. I remember some subjects I had to take but were never really there (mostly also because I had two lessons at about the same time ex: National History 11:00 - 12:30, General didactics 11:30 - 14:00). So I couldn't even if I wanted to attend both. I never went to general didactics (there simply wasn't anything I could learn there). Anyway... back to the original question, if I had any similar experiance... well, from the other side. I'm a professor and at the moment I teach at a secondary school (15+ year olds) and some had to be thrown out of school. There was this guy who was apsent 42 days out of the first 62 days of school, because he was hooked on the gaming machines at the bus station (he came to town with the local bus) and never made it to school. The parents were unreachable and didn't even know he wasn't at school. He only enrolled to get teh state stipendium anyway (because both his parents were unemployed). He spent it all on those poker and blackjack machines there. SAD. And another guy we had to throw out - because he only came to school to sell marihuana. He grew his own somewhere and as long as he had the supply he attended school and sold it, as soon he ran out he would skip classes. The problem was proving it to him (even though there were many witnesses to it among the other kids at school). |

Ok, back on track: It is sad when kids drop out of school for whatever reason. They don't understand I guess, but TONS of chances and opportunities disappear when they do. And given that that is what life is about; getting opportunities, it's just sad. |
Kids might not understand, but their parents should. However when the parents don't care or aren't doing their duty to bring up their child properly, that's when the children are losing their better chances for the future.

Man, maybe you guys should all take a break from abandonia and study some more :) . If I would come close to failing a subject or skipping classes like that, my parents would kick me out of my house. Just get an eductation, then you can afford to buy more video games and donate to abandonia!

ye got the wrong idea of education...most of you. if you know where you are and what u can do next, then you don't need to learn something that u don't use afterwards.
money is everywhere. find a way and get to them if you really need them(and you do! :D) at least that's the case here. that reminded me i have to visit a woman who wants me to paint her walls. |
