Cheated, did it the easy way and drew it in paint. It's nothing special, but I feel it has a certain simplistic charm. Opinions?

Maybe one day I'll finally work out how to make an animated one.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm quite pleased with it myself, but I wanted to know what others thought. I think I might start using paint more often, I reckon with enough practice you could create some pretty amazing stuff with it, despite the lack of advanced tools.

All I need to do now is work out how to make my own banner entirely from scratch. I'm gonna do it. Just watch me. :P *practices paint skillz*

Chainsoar, for basic pixel art Paint is okay, but if you want to do some more advanced effects, GIMP is the way to go. And it's freeware anyway.
