What is everyones fave sim games when you post please include if it is freeware, abandonware or commercial
|
I _kind_of_ enjoyed SimFarm myself, SimCity 2000 much more. SimEarth was quite good too, but SC2K is my personal favourite.
I just loved building "Mega-City One" (hell yeah!). Started out normally, but the layout wasn't too efiicient... so I started changing it to one as efficient as possible. Square grid pattern, changing the riverbed and coastline and such. Worked out nicely. :ok: |
When you ask for sim games, are you talking about simulators or just the sim- series of games from Maxis?
|
Mine's the first Sim City! Awesome, and the only one simple enough for me to understand
|
it could be spore...
simcity is ok. same goes for the sims. sim earth could be better. simcopter is intresting. haven't played the others. |
I really enjoy SimTower!
Quite simple but still hard enough! :ok: |
I loved SIM ANT!!
SIM farm was also funny, but only way too easy  |

SimCity 3000 - commercial obviously. |
Yeah, and if you people know some more information:
Im stll waiting for a update of Simcopter :help: :help: (like Simcopter 2100) |
The Maxis Sims games are awesome. Sim City for SNES was the first one i played. Sim ant was cool too. Sim Earth was hella lame and a waste of time. Sim City 2000 I Had for Playstation and was really fun. Sim Farm was confusing LOL, couldn't figure out how to make deliveries. If you like the SIms, YOu gotta play the SIMS 2. Free movement with the left analog stick, and if you like the old style simply press select.

SimCity 2000 is great partially because of SimCopter. Nothing beats being able to fly through the city you struggled to create.
Heh, I even used it to improve my city at times :P Still I think SC3K is better then 2K. It was much more rewarding and had much greater replayability imho. It was also a lot more difficult. SC4 was incredibly impressive, although I never managed to get it to work right. It seemed easier then in SC3K to create a city, but infinitely more difficult to create a good one. As for the rest: SimCity and SimFarm are classic, and no collection is complete without them imho. SimTower is nice, but certainly not great. SimAnt is a wonderfull concept well implemented. SimEarth is great to experiment with. The Sims was another great concept well implemented, and it was a great game untill the milkage began :tai: I tried the Sims 2, and it seemed like an actual improvement (*gasp*). By the time it came out, however, I was so sick and tired of the Sims everywhere that I couldn't stand it anymore. SimGolf, SimLife and the others I never tried. I did try the demo of SimDrive and it emmediatly managed to turn me away (never saw it for sale either). |
SC3000 is definetly my favourite, much better than SC4 IMO, I also enjoyed the soundtrack in SC3000...
|
I still play SC4 a bit. I thought it was a great improvement over 3000 especially with Rush Hour.
But SC2000 had the funnies sidekicks, SimCopter and Streets of SimCity. I loved those two. I've not played SimEarth a lot, but enough to know it's not my cup of tea. |
Good grief. How many "SC"s are there?
Sim City Star Control Star Craft ... I know there's more. Those initials just keep popping up everywhere. Very popular for games I guess. |
...Super Castlevania IV
:P |
And most games that have those initials are damn good too! (The ones I've played anyway) :P
|
the first sim city game top game for the time keeped me ammused um unsure wether its abandoware though have to check but good game nun the less but still have get it back
|
sim city 2000 and sim golf = my favs
sim golf is alot of fun |
Simcity 3000 is my choice! Even though I have nice memories about Simcity 2K as well. :)
|
Sim Tower definately. It has a certain sentimental value coz its the first video game i saved up and bought with my own money. Things you work for never leave you in spirit, even video games :)
