Took 65 seconds to load this page. I am always hoping that it's a message from Abandonia saying 'it will be fixed tomorrow' or something, but we never seem to hear anything from them - which is a shame! Please Abandonia, tell us what is going on - please!

What's going on is that the server AB is on, is being under a DDOS attack, if I'm not mistaking. Kosta is currently working on a solution, and hopefully we'll be back on our feet... soon.

Did Ab take a dive for the worse today? I've been constantly reloading the pages and I got timed out again. It was 'ok' up until yesterday, but now it's just just driving me nuts.[/b]
Same here. But with a difference.

Either the site stops loading and won't load forever or
the site is fully loaded in a very acceptable speed.

That's what I'm experiencing from here.

Most likely it's the moving of files to the new server which is eating the minimal existing bandwidth. Whenever the transfer is momentarily interrupted for any reason we get more bandwidth, but when the necessary moving starts again the site loses that barely enough but badly needed bandwidth. I'm guessing, I don't know better than any of you. :) Let's just wait patiently.

Downloading a program at less than 10kbs a second is very slow. I remember downloading at 156kbs a second. PLEASE fix :titan:

To me it's still that way, but the loading speed got better. Then again I have to reload more often. :(

Any news? How far have we proceeded ?

This is just like the airports. It's not so much the problem not being solved as much as it is the lack of information from those in the know!

If we had been regularly updated on the situation I am sure we wouldn't feel so frustrated.

Certainly I only come to Abandonia now to check if it's still slow or when I get a message notification like this. I have found a couple other abandonware sites I didn't know existed and am going there instead. If this problem hadn't have gone on so long, I would not have bothered to look for them and would not be going to them instead now. I could just about live with the 60 second page load if I was getting reasonable download speeds. But even a 5mb download at 5k is a 30 minute download! Once the download stopped altogether and I had to start it again!

Hope the problem gets solved soon, but in the meanwhile, could you take a couple mins to update us on what's happening?

Well. We will try to think logically.
If actual server allow speed for download a program at less than 10kbs a second, it also enable the same speed for moving files to another server.
You know how Abandonia is big, not in kB, or mB, or gB, but in tB !!!
Now you could make an approximation :whistling:

*edit*

tB :w00t: Maybe I was going to far :hypocrite:
