Not exactly sure how to do this with dosbox...

Ok i did this debug stuff now, first it starts to load game, then itsays no sound driver, ok runned setup and puted value "no sound",

and now when loading still game crashes.


IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO CHEAT IN THIS GAME :(

how can it crash after start since you modify your savegame only? try redownloading and putting in the new .SAV file

I have tried so many ways, i am tired :(

Now when i load game it closes and DOSbox shows me "Cannot close file!"

I don't get it why anybody would want to cheat in this game.. For me every single time I've tried to play this game it goes berzerk by the 20's, that is some counters ingame 'roll over' and show either 65535 or 255 value when it should be 0


Usually this happens with the engineers or assm. line workers.. if you have an area of research you have 0 engineers assigned to it can, and will, after some gameplay roll over to a value of 255. I have no idea what causes this but it kills the gameplay to suddenly realize you have thousands of workers or hundreds of engineers too much that your not supposed to have.

I also tried to play the amiga version some time ago but it too has the same bugs, so all versions are unplayable

:( It's a shame really..

Oh, I forgot to mention the other effect those bugs have on the game.

After some gameplay these bugs happen to the AI players as well, so at some point you will see their research or production skyrocket at amazing rates.. basically you know they suddenly have lots and lots of engineers or assm workers.

Also this can have a negative impact, on one game I have 2 of the AI players doing ok on the market and next month they are losing money at 20,000,000$ a month rate or so which drives them bankrupt in 1 month. And then they keep restarting and going bankrupt every few months. :(

You can't download it at Abandonia. It's ESA protected till 2009.

Have the detroit game on floppys, but had to reinstall windows and now disk doesn't work. Where can I down load it for free, evidently its protected here.
