Thatnk you so much for posting this. I have the box, the manual, the discs... but I don't have the darn CP table. I looked everywhere for it. This took care of that problem. I am running under Gentoo with Dosbox at 1700 cycles on an Athlon 3200+ and it is working great.

There is a card that came with the game that has a table. It is not in the manual. To get passed the copy protection screen simply hit enter. The version available here is cracked.

First of all, this game, along with calvin and hobbes and smashing pumpkins, wrote my childhood. I havn't played it since 94 or 95 or something, immense cheers. You have no idea.

I'm running a p4 2.6 with win2kpro and it runs so fast you'd have to be on amphetamines to play it. Is there anyway of limiting the framerate in doswindow or does playing it in dos fix it? if so how do you get into dos with win2kpro? I'm a bit of a dos no0b and can't find a way. I too have the 30 second dropout problem where it just quits but i hope the framerate problem once solved will fix this.

The music! is there anyway of getting the songs? someone said they were in the file as .mods but i couldn't find them.

I'm dying to play this game again, please be bothered!

Loved the quad barrelled shottie in lvl 2, and the banshee......

I would try running it in dosbox. It is running just as I remember it back in the 486 days on dosbox for me running on top of Gentoo with a 3200+.

:help:
It worked quite well so far... DosBox 0.63 instead of VDMSound, CPU cycles to 12000 or so, BUT when I try to look at the map or accept a passenger it crashes, and the DosBox window shows "Illegal read from 100000", counting upwards infinitely.

a dos box is the command prompt right? that's what it goes turbo in, my friend says you can't get a frame rate limiter, can you guys verify?

or when you say dos box do you mean and old comp, if ya do i'll sorely regret giving my 9 year old rig to my neighbour for xmas.

No. Click the link in my last post and download that software. Dosbox is software that emulates a dos. When using dosbox you can control the CPU cycles with ctrl+F11 and ctrl+F12 to go up and down in number of cycles respectively. This will allow you to limit the game to the speed it is actually supposed to play at. Using this software I can play most dos games in Linux but it works well for Windows too.

i got it working, checking out Alien Carnage and Rapter, old school.

Thank you so much for the help :)

No problem at all. Now.... can anyone put up Road Warrior which is Quarantine 2? I would love to have that one as well.
