It's the process of learning these things that helps your brain develop to its full potential. Having ADD is a battle for me - even as a child I had to find stuff interesting in order to be good at it. People talk about computing and my brain shuts down. But look at it this way: having that education will get you a job that isn't boring and repetitive. You don't have to sit in a shop day after day until you go slightly mad and try to sell someone a hippopotamus made out of pond scum and your old shoes, and then they'll send you to a rest home and your family will come visit you and smile and hope you won't throw things at them and eat the flowers like last time :D
Also, members of the opposite sex are weird. If they sense you're needy, they run a mile. If you couldn't care less about them, they follow you like angry bees. Give yourself time, fubby. Get a tutor if you have to. What you really need is some life experience. Let yourself be a kid. This push for adulthood isn't always good. Your brain will only stop myelinating when you're twenty or twenty-one, anyway. There's no way this period of your life is in any way an indicator of what you'll be when you grow up. The best advice i ever received was, do what you love. Find whatever aptitude you have and work on that more than anything else. Cos that'll be your field. But you need to be able to problem-solve, to set out figures, count money or measure things or whatever. And good language skills are vital if you're going to get respect in the professional world, the job market. You need a goal, fubby. Even if it's something silly, like wanting to get your pilot's licence. Please no pet bears. I don't wanna feel responsible if you get eaten :p In other news, it's good to have airtime again :3: |

Also your right arete, I do need a goal! Something better then just 'Finish School'...My sister was supposed to go to Winnipeg today to fly to Chicago and then to Heathrow and then go to Ireland, a trip which she and her friend originally envisioned when they were 14, and now that they're 21, they're ready too do it! Only problem is with Mr Volcano in iceland blowing his fuse, they may not be able so instead they're planning on tripping the U.S, but still they had everything worked out after plannign it so long ago! Anyways, im thinking of stuff that interests me, and im thinking perhaps a trip to the far away land of europe would be neat, i've had friends go to places like the Czech republic and the Netherlands and they say it's amazing, I personally would like to see the alps, cause i like mountains, and the only mountains I've been in are the Black hills in South Dakota, I want more! Though if I do get to go on our Geo trip to Banff then i get to spend 10 days in the rockies :D |
if you were to come to the czech republic i'd think it's a conspiracy or something!

I'm looking through your bathroom window

Hang in there Fubb... i remember feeling very similar at your age. While there is no real advice i can give you (no-one could give me any either)... "find something you love and go for it" as the others have suggested is the best advice you can get.
All i can promise is that it does get better? |
does a girl i already know i have no future with count as a goal? She's infatuated with another guy but i have a feeling i can wrangle her my way :3
|
you'll meet other awsum girls too
|
i feel like curling up in bed and crying. This is so stupid. i really just want to hide indoors, where no one can find me...
Honestly, I'm like a scared child sometimes. |
