This game is highly addictive even for a oldie - breakout is the other one and tetris anyone can play and youll sit there for hours and hours and (ok time for coffee break) suggest you read DOSBOX FAQ as well it should help out with problems

For the sound, can't you just turn off your speakers, or disable all sound before you start the game? Of course this probably won't work if the game uses the pc speaker :angry:

Bubble Bobble is large with many hidden secrets. at least in the orginal version.
When i came to level 20 without loosing a life, it came up a castle door in the "spechial thing area" When walking into it, it opens another world with diamonts and falling stars.
When entering level 30 without dying, it will come another blue door with castle.
When entering the third castle on level 50, you will jump straight to level 70!
Do any of you people made this?

What does the white egg-ship thing do? and the blue genie-lamp?
The purple candy seems to make the bubbles more sticky, easier to hit enemies

What I meant was that how do you turn off the sound when you're running it in DOS. No DOSBox.

Amazing! I still have my nes set up in my room for whenever I'm feeling ten years old again. And this ,of course, is one of the games I have on it.

I remember playing it back in the day with my sister, we used to have mad fights over who gets the speed shoe ;) Classic!

I loved fighting the big guy at the end as well, with the lightning bubbles. There will always be a place in my heart for bub and bob.
