I agree with you, MdaG. Full Throttle is good, but weak compared to other LA gems. Its major problem is that it is too short. I myself ended it in one day, and that is something I canīt say of any other LA games.

Hmm, from that review it doesn't sound very LucasArts-y, really... I don't think I'll have to go and buy it straight away.

I bought it for ~€10 and it was well worth the money.

Full Throttle is one of the cult favorites of LA, just like Loom or The Dig.
I suggest you buy it though, although it's short, I've played it about 7 times over since I got it, just because it's so memorable.

Not only that, but the voice-overs and story are great.

About Monkey Island II: how was it inferior to the first game?
I think the biggest let down for me was the plot.

The sequels plot was rubbish, same with all subsequent Monkey Island games. It feels like they were just stapled onto the original, and while MI 1 was charming and hilarious, II was just stupid, I don't recall it being all that funny.

Dammit, it's not even on Monkey Island anymore! That's my opinion on it :)

Actually I rather liked the ending of Monkey Island II... How did they pick up on that for Monkey Island III anyway?

Something about LeChuck trapping Guybrush in his carneval of the damned where one believes oneself to be a child. I think. I haven't played MI3 since it retailed back in 98...
In the beginning of MI3 Guybrush have just escaped from there.

I think MI2 is the best one in the series, followed by the first game, then number three and last number four (which isn't as bad as everyone says it is).

Yeah I agree I thought MI 2 was a really good game, the first one was also very worthy, haven't played the 3rd one yet, argh been meaning to grab a copy of it someday, maybe ebay since would be way cheaper than heading and paying for it on the lucasarts site, and MI 4 really isn't that bad as everyone says, I felt it was a good solid title.

Labyrinth is the only game (from the list) that I haven't played. I'll need to get it sometime. Don't know if it's any good or not though. :D

Some-one else HAS to vote for Maniac Mansion. I can't be the only person to love that game. I think it was one of the first games where you could switch between characters, and have them do different things. It's a classic! :w00t:

Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle, definitely :D
