I remember playing this on my old Tandy! I'd love to play it again, and while I can get it up and running, the crappy copy protection has me beat as well. If anyone can help out, either with a place to download the manual or how to disable the copy protection please reply here!!

There is a .txt file in the zip containing all the protection codes I think.

i cannot find the downloadlink for this title. I've been watching for it for my daughter, her PC's harddrive died and we lost her copy. any chance someone knows a alternate source?

I'm afraid not. It's ESA-protected, which means it's illegal to put it up for download unless you have their permission. You might want to try Home of the Underdogs, though; they have permission to host a couple of ESA-protected games, but I'm not sure whether Sim Earth is one of them. If not, you could try buying the game via ebay or the like.
Good luck, anyway.

Why, it's always a pleasure to meet people with such excellent manners.
