OK, point taken.:)

About Monkey Island II: how was it inferior to the first game? The graphics have improved, the puzzles are more complex and there are two different levels of difficulty. The humour is at least as good as in the first game, and there are several nice new characters like Largo and Wally. So what does Monkey Island I have that Monkey Island II doesn't?

Well, the way I like to think about it is that Monkey Island the original was completely new.

It was a new style, a new flavor, it was original when it first appeare.
But Monkey Island II did not much new, despite the fact that it's basicly the same, and just as fun, it was more of the same, imagine Doom and Doom II, there was some new material, but it was more of the same. It felt a bit washed over.

I myself enjoyed MI II much more than the original, but I find the original more memorable actually.

P.S. - That comment was actually related more to Beef, A.J.

It's one of LA's weaker titles, but it's fun while it lasts.

Weaker ones  nah no way it was pretty good overall, from the action scenes to just the overall way the adventure went, only bad thing about it, too short, but the voice work was superb, even with Mark Hamill lending his voice.

Only title weaker in my opinion is Maniac Mansion (and maybe Monkey 4). Still I didn't say it was bad, not just as good as the others.
