Which ruleset Nikson? There are so many with so many books for each one... and the more books they add, the more they break the system :tai:
(I assume that since you took the WOTC test you'll be using 3.5, but I just thought I'd ask) |
if its version 3 at least, then it's all you need.
older than that has strange rules like THAC0 (highest armor class is zero). Nobody would really need the player handbook, only experience with D&D-based computer games. I'd be able to help out anyone that has a problem. Quote:
(I dont really like some skill changes they made in 3.5) |
Actually armor classes can be "higher" than zero, but that required magical means, and incredibly good dexterity. It is 3e rules that causes the AC bonus from dexterity to be limited by armor. A person with Full plate, 18 dexterity and a ring of protection +2 or better will have ac better than -4 easily.
All the work is saddled with the DM. He can run your world as a magic barren world, where everything lies in luck and skill, or a monty haul, where even the dumbest little trinket is made of magic. |
Well the world would be similar to Greyhawk, since most of the adventures I have (including unofficial ones) are meant for Greyhawk.
EDIT: would you be interested in playing, blastradius? :sneaky: |
Yeah! I got some friends who would love it too. Well, at least one anyway. I'll pm Lonely Vazdru about this, I bet he'd want to too
|
I'll make a new topic about it then :)

I love the idea of Chono Trigger:
Plenty of charactersand a great game to boot! I love the frog prince!! |
I like the primitive cat lady LOL
If not chrono trigger as the main idea, I think you guys should go for FF6. (The real ff3 never touched american soil... ff2 is actually a nes game etc...) |
I don't have FF6. And I don't enjoy illeagally downloading games. I've only got FF1 and 3.
Seeing as this thread's dead I guess it's Chrono Trigger. There will be two games. We don't want 5 and that's it do we? I'm not gonna have 3 because the third's my personal game. A thread will start up as soon as someone replies saying "Aye!" (or a synonym of it). |
