A brilliant idea to get Kosta to notice you. I'm sure he'll grant you some kind of title. :P

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand what you mean here. Have I done somthing wrong?

And as for my problem with copy and paste you were right, a different broswer did the trick. For some reason I can't do it with Fire Fox, but it seems to work with IE.

Thanks

One more thing, though: even if you're replying to several people, try not to double- or triple-post.

Thanks for the warning. I think Data was telling me the same thing, but I'm afraid ai still don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
When I see someone's letter, I click reply and type a response to that letter. Are you saying that I should NOT reply to more than a few people??

Sorry if my ignorance is exasperating, ther is a lot I need to learn about computers.

Thanks for your time and patience.

It works this way:

Each post you'd like to quote you mark with the "quote" button (the plus turns into a minus) and on the last post you'd like to quote you press "Reply". It's all gathered in your new posting window then.

Do you need further help with the code?

You know, it's kind of ironic that in trying to overcome the title of newby spammer you became a spammer.
[/b]
WOW! you are the third person to tell me that I'm messing up here, but the first to call me a spammer. As I understand it a spammer is someone that sends advertisments in the form of bulk mail. I am doing nothing like that at all. Is ther another meaning for spammer?

I am sorry, but please explain this to me. What am I doing wrong?

Well, i'm the one to "blame" for all the titles actualy ;)

Anyway, The Copy/Paste issue is a first time for me, can you try to explain more about when and where it happens?
[/b]
No worries about the title. I understand how it was intended.

The copy and paste problem occurs when I copy with Fire Fox and try to paste into Microsoft word. Data suggested using a different broswer and I tried Windows. That worked.

Surprise Surprise, I guess Microsoft is only compatible with itself.

Thank You

I didn't really recognise that I was working with any kind of code, but I think I figured out what I've been doing wrong.

Every time I reply to a post, this system sends a mail to everyone else who is keeping track of this thread. So my response to this one person actualy goes to everyone not just the person I was responding to. Is that correct?

...If so then I owe everyone here an apology. I am truely sorry. I have indeed become a Spammer as I was accused. Damn! I can't apolgise enough... I need a smiley that shrivels up into a corner and Dies!

...I just thought of something else, post counts seem to be very important to some people here. This must look like an artificial way of increasing my post count.

Hmmm....Newbee Spammer...do you suppose someone considered this scenerio when they came up with the title. I can only think of one way to convince people that this has been an honest mistake. Szaemon is dead here. I will certainly be back,I need this site, but Szaemon with his artificialy enhanced post count is gone.

Icewolf 24-08-2006 12:39 PM

You double posted again... ^_^

The way you declare the text you write as a quotation or make it bold or whatsoever is a sort of "code". A simple one, though and it's no programming language but it's code.

Okay, pay attention. What you are doing wrong is double-posting, there is absolutely no need to do so under any circumstance, you could write a post that was one page long [and that addressed everyone you were trying to] and not be breaking the rules; the instant you double-post, BAM, the rules are broken.

<div align="center">If you have to post twice in a row, try again!</div>

Icewolf 25-08-2006 07:19 AM

Uh, and if you want to change something about an existing post of yours there is always the EDIT button.
It is found only at your own posts next to quote and reply.
It allwows you to extinguish typos, change rethought stuff and these things subsequently.

So no need for a double post like "sorry, I didn't read carefully" or "oh, I made a typo here and there"

All right? :ok:
