Pop2 has more of everything in comparison with the first chapter but his control system lack of precision, is a good game anyway.

In what way, "uncontrollable"? I don't remember any problems with controls there...

Making a successful jump (especially while running from a crowed of soldiers) was almost impossible to do.
So I quit PoP2 after the first couple of screens.

I always thought running jumps were equally tricky in both installments, they only take practice. Only sword fights seemed to me more difficult (and more interesting) in POP2. Even so, or because of it, there was no game like POP when it came out, and the sequel is good in my opinion. Nobody said a game had to be easy to be good. Quitting after a minute may not be the best way to make a judgment.

No, there is a big difference for jumping between the two: in part 1 you see where you are and you can do all things with safety, while in part 2 you have absolutly no idea from where and when you must do the same (jumps in this case, let it be from move or standing still).

And it was not "quitting after a minute", but "quitting after small progress". Hugh difference between the two. After 30 minutes trying to do one of the BASIC MOVEMENTS WITHOUT SUCCESS means the game is a failure.

"impossible" = big exaggeration, is harder, not impossible.

PP1,2,3

Do YOU remember these 3 funny moments in PP 1,2:

:hihihi:
1. Level 2 PP1. My hero meet a pale of bones. He goes to floor key and activated it and return. ...Surprise.. Ha ha ha! The bones are transformed in skeleton warrior with weapon.. Second surprise- The skeleton is undead.. Ha ha
Yoga solution: Before to land this surface with skeleton make loooooooooong jump, just after skeleton in question. No fight, but carefully go down and run to the end door..Voila!!
2. Level -forget - pr.7-8 PP1. My brave prince meet a bottle and as a real drunkard drink it.. Ha ha ha Again surprise. The image up-down.
Yoga solution: Take yr monitor and put in updown position until find the new bottle which solve the problem..
3. Forgotten level PP2.
My brave hero is bloody fighting on a swinging bridge with ...you know..again undead skeleton.. The fight is very hard.. Suddenly bridge collapses and our hero fall down. End of game.
Yoga solution: Relax. Just count 4 bridge plates and stay at 5-th. No back , no forward. Steady like a rock. Be prepared. (Here is need some more practice). When above mentioned starts, you just return back very fast and grasp the unmovable 4-th plate. Nevermind the sword..

The hunt of fatal end scene after Jaffar is funny also..

The PP3 is good till start the time quests, which i hate with all my heart.
I did 2 time quests and leave the game when 3-th appears. I am not a monkey but brave warrior, who kill the bad Frank and more bad Lord Xeen.

Nice memory:whistling:

Hey, just managed to improve my technics! Here are some hints!

Level 1: go left and let the guard chase you back one screen. Let him come further, then climb up, go one screen left. There is a loosing board on the ceiling, dump it down. Climb up, and voila - no need to go for the sword!

Level 2: Imediatelly run+jump twice! Theoretically you could swap place with the guard then run away, but it is ca. the same time to just kill him.
When you reach to the guard with the abyss you have to jump across, if you make the jump immeditally on the platform, you arrive climbing at the abyss. During you climb up the guard will come to you, and you should go left to swap place with him, and with a little luck instead of the whole fight you can push him down to the abyss!
Also at the end you don't have t go right, clim up, kill the guard etc. Intead go LEFT, dump the loosing board, and climb up.

Level 3: The skeleton is slooow. So as soon as you can move towrds it and swap place. Then go backwards until you start falling down. Hit shft+up to grab the boards or you'll crack your head open!

Level 4: on the bottom corridors is a chopper. Just run + jump through it.
When you go opening the level-door, the chopper won't hurt you if you RUN through it.

Level 5: don't try to get the extra life. I tested that maybe when you merge with Shadow you get from it that life, but you don't.

Level 6: let the fat guy step towards you, and attack then. That was the only way I got through him safe.

Level 7: When you reach the point you clim up, close a door, and have to fight a guard, when climbing up to the guard hit "up"! Even if it is unnecessary, it is the only way to be sure you won't be pushed down from that platform.

Level 8: The guard at the start needs to be pushed down. Step forward, hit block imediatelly, then hit attack.
With the two chopper at the mouse be cautious! They are right at the edge of the screen, and I managed to walk into it with "cautious step"!

Level 9: Be cautious with the chopper in the beggining!
When you'll have to climb down at the final part, instead jump to the other side, and grab platform before you crack your head. The chopper down there wn't work!

Level 10-11 has no shortcut technique.

Level 12: when going against Jaffar run only to the end of the loosing board! When you fall down grab the edge, climb back, and swap place with Jaffar, then imediatelly block + attack. Voilá, safe fast win!

Highscore (=time left): 31:27 (all extra life collected)
