What do you mean free-to-play? It's 75% off though, I'm so going to buy Civ5 right now, even though I can't play it at the moment. I'm glad you pointed me to it.

Yeah, whole game free to play for limited time, starting tomorrow (or today) and ends on monday. Steam has these every now and then.

Well I skipped the trial and bought it right away, I can't go wrong for 10€. Let's see when I'll get to play this...

It is indicated that the original Civlization is compatible with XP. Would it load on Windows 7 as well?

I seriously doubt it since Civilization is a DOS game.

On the upside, this is what DOSBox was created for. :)

Tried to register, but I'm probably doing something wrong because I can't register.

Do you know a site where I can download civilization 1 version 474.01?

Are you a sadist? Do you know how to humiliate your opponent without him reacting? If you are much more powerful than your enemy, first, you demand tribute from your opponent. Then occupy all your troops around the enemy city so that all adjacent areas of the city are occupied by your troops. The enemy city can use only 1 area or quadrant of the city. :mischief:

By the way, I have the Civilization 4 while my brother has Civilization 5. He likes to play Civilization 5 very much. And the Packs has options of choosing various civilizations.
