Though, there's two downsides... I now don't have an excuse for not making any progress on my games and the biggest one of all..... I HAVE TO USE DOSBOX! *pauses to see spectators expressions* I find it quite sad that I have to emulate something that is for PC. OMFG! I also realised... I HAVE TO USE SCUMMVM! *pauses again* I am again saddened by this. Now, I must take out my pain by staring at a near-dead mosquito and rip off it's limbs.
You'd be even more unhappy if these 2 programs didn't exist.

Ehh. 0.99 hdd? :eeeeeh: You crazy??? :eeeeeh: it's like going back to the stone age. :blink:
@Troop: It's my current one... The 5.99GB one is too new to work on this PC. So it's networked via another pC.

@Data: I guess that''s true.

@People complaining about "my games are bigger than that" in a moany style: Well, soooorry. That was probablt the best HD you could get back in the day.

Unless you will have another, better HDD as the main hard drive in your new PC, this does not make the idea of installing them in there any smarter.

I believe Armed and Dangerous (Lucas Arts) is somewhere around 3 and half gigs when installed.

Are you saying that you're gonna be running oldgames?
Why didnt you say?!

Still, why not get a bigger one? Win98 can hadle a rather large size.

win98 02-12-2005 04:11 PM

It is possible to get win98 on a 10gb one that is about the max the computer could probably handle.

The Fifth Horseman 02-12-2005 04:33 PM

And our dear user "Win98" as always knows almost nothing on what he's speaking about. Windows 98 can handle - IIRC - up to 160 GB drives, but someone on this forum said once that above 40 GB data corruption starts.
Right now I have Windows 98 running 32 GB partition here. Would be 40 GB if not for that the motherboard doesn't support anything above 32.

I thought he meant the pentunium 90 he had If that was the one he was talking about the max the bios could handle would be around that much.

punch999 03-12-2005 02:03 AM

Enjoy! I got a new pc but I got a virus that infected the bios and is now useless! :bleh:
